The Chemmani mass grave excavation in Sri Lanka's northern province has been temporarily halted due to a lack of funds from the Justice Ministry. Lawyers involved in the operation say the work will resume once fresh funds are allocated, likely within two weeks. So far, 240 skeletal remains and 14 piles of bones have been uncovered, along with personal belongings like infant feeding bottles, toys and children's bags.
