Shamima Begum, former 'ISIS bride', loses appeal against UK citizenship revocation

Shamima Begum, a London native who joined the Islamic State terror group when she was a schoolgirl in Syria, lost her most recent appeal on Friday, February 23, over the cancellation of her British citizenship. A few weeks after Shamima Begum was discovered in a detention camp in northeastern Syria in 2019, the British government revoked her citizenship on the pretext of national security.
