Salgueiro Samba School pays tribute to Brazil’s largest indigenous group at the carnival. With giant floats, costumes and songs based on the group’s ancient culture and traditions, the samba school sought to draw attention to the devastating effects of illegal mining inside Yano-Mami territory.
