Rubin observatory launches 10-year cosmic survey to map the universe
The NSF–DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory has officially launched its Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), a groundbreaking 10-year mission set to transform astronomy. The observatory will capture an ultra-detailed, high-definition map of the southern sky, helping scientists study everything from dark matter and dark energy to asteroids, supernovae and distant galaxies.
