Romania Votes For New President Amid Rising Far-Right

Romanians began casting their votes on Sunday in the first round of the presidential election. The leading candidates for the mostly ceremonial position are Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and George Simion, head of the far-right nationalist Alliance for the Union of Romanians.
