Replica Spitfire goes on display at London station for D-Day anniversary

Commuters at London Bridge station came across a somewhat unusual sight during their morning travels on Friday: a full-scale replica World War Two Spitfire on the concourse of the busy terminal. The replica Supermarine Spitfire from the Imperial War Museums will be on display at the station for 10 days to mark the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy on June 6, 1944.
