Parliamentary Panel To Depose SEBI And TRAI Chiefs On Oct 24

The Public aAccounts Committee (PAC) of parliament has summoned the chiefs of markets regulator and telecom watchdog to depose them on October 24. The PAC's decision to review the workings of independent and leading regulatory bodies is rather unusual. The summon to the SEBI chief comes amid a series of allegations levelled against Madhabi Puri Buch, including conflict of interest charges.
