Niger coup: The United Nations offers full support to President Bazoum

Mohamed Bazoum has been removed from office, according to a group of soldiers who appeared on Niger's national television late on Wednesday, hours after the president was detained at the presidential palace. General Abdourahamane Tiani, the chief of the presidential guard, led the coup against Bazoum and declared himself the new president of the country.
