Nepal Traffic Bill: The Nepal government has drafted a proposal for steep increases in traffic fines to enhance road safety. Under the new rules, penalties will scale from Rs 500 for jaywalking to Rs 100,000 for vehicles utilizing heavily tinted windows. The draft also heavily raises fines for critical offenses, including drunk driving, speeding, using a mobile phone while driving and lane violations.
