At least eight people have died and several others have been injured following devastating landslides triggered by heavy, incessant monsoon rainfall in Nagaland. The most severe destruction occurred in the Mon district, particularly near Mon town and Tizit, where a residential area located below an Assam Rifles camp was struck by a massive landslide around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
