Amit Sharma's Maidaan and Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila release this week. While Maidaan is a theatrical release, Amar Singh Chamkila is streaming on Netflix. Both are biopics- Maidaan featuring Ajay Devgn is a film based on Syed Abdul Rahim, the architect of modern Indian Football and Amar Singh Chamkila has Diljit Dosanjh playing popular singer who was gunned down the 1980s in Punjab at the peak of his career.
