Italian voters have rejected a constitutional judicial reform proposed by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, handing her government a significant political setback ahead of the 2027 general election. The national referendum, held March 22–23, saw a majority vote “No” to changes that would have altered how judges and prosecutors are selected and governed.
