India's ministry of electronics and information technology, under the leadership of Ashwini Vaishnaw, has accelerated efforts towards implementing the digital personal data protection act or the D-P-D-P-A. Vaishnaw recently announced that the draft rules for the DPDPA are nearing completion, with consultations planned to ensure comprehensive industry input.
