India-US Ties: Jaishankar and Rubio Hold Phone Talks on Trade and Defence
India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has spoken with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on trade, critical minerals, nuclear cooperation, defence and energy. The call comes amid strained India US ties following steep American tariffs on Indian goods, including a punitive levy over Russian oil purchases. Both sides said they would remain in touch on key issues.
