Monsoon's fury over the weekend has had a devastating impact across North India. As many as 22 people have been killed in landslides or rain-related incidents. A yellow alert has been issued in Delhi for the next 24 hours and an orange alert has been issued for Haryana. The situation is tense over 38 National Disaster Response Force team members have been deployed in the Indian states of Punjab, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh to carry out rescue operations. The weather body has issued an alert for the national capital for a flood-like situation as the river Yamuna has now breached the warning mark.
