In a big step towards achieving self-sufficiency in defence capabilities, the Indian Navy has proposed the construction of a third aircraft carrier. The topic is up for discussion within the Indian Defence Ministry but analysts say that a third carrier will greatly bolster India’s defence as the China threat looms in the Indian Ocean region.
