First Citizens BancShares Inc. was in advanced negotiations to buy Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp (FDIC) may soon sell Silicon Valley Bank to First Citizens, according to Bloomberg News, which broke the news first. One of the main buyers of bankrupt American lenders is the firm.
