Ex-California Mayor Pleads Guilty in China Agent Case
Eileen Wang, the former mayor of Arcadia, California, officially pleaded guilty on May 29, 2026, to acting as an illegal agent of the Chinese government. Wang, who resigned from her position earlier in May, admitted to disseminating pro-Beijing propaganda through a website called U.S. News Center between 2020 and 2022.
