England's Joe Root passes Ponting, Kallis & Dravid to become second-highest test run-scorer | WION

Joe Root has climbed to second on the all-time list of Test run-scorers, overtaking cricket greats Rahul Dravid, Jacques Kallis, and Ricky Ponting with a masterful century against India in the fourth Test at Old Trafford.
Root now has 13,409 Test runs: trailing only Sachin Tendulkar’s 15,921. His 38th Test hundred also equals Kumar Sangakkara and puts him just behind Tendulkar, Kallis, and Ponting in terms of centuries.
He also broke records for most Test hundreds against India (12), and matched the most Test centuries scored by a batter in a single country (23 in England).
