Cyclone Montha hit the Andhra Pradesh coast as a severe cyclonic storm with winds of 90–100 kmph and gusts up to 110 kmph, causing widespread damage. The storm resulted in the deaths of two people and damaged tens of thousands of hectares of crops, disrupting daily life across the coastal region.
