TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee’s personal assistant, Sumit Roy, has been arrested by the West Bengal CID in connection with the alleged Salboni land-grab case. The arrest came after the Supreme Court rejected Roy’s anticipatory bail plea, allowing investigators to take him into custody.
