Taiwan's front line islanders unfazed by the beat of the Chinese war-drum. Rusted out tanks and anti-landing spikes, the Chinese littered the beaches of Taiwan's Kinmen island, a reminder of a conflict 60 years ago. In 1958, China fired more than a million shells at Kinmen, killing 618 people and injuring over 2600.
