Intrepid climbers tackle a shimmering 40-metre (131 ft) wall of ice in the Czech village of Vir. The wall is not a natural formation. Taking advantage of plummeting temperatures, members of the Czech Climbing Union pour water over the cliff face every year to create a challenging climb.
