Atomic sites to host US largest solar development plan

The Department of Energy revealed an ambitious plan to unlock the hidden potential of lands once shrouded in cold war secrecy. These sites, once used for developing atomic bombs, are now set to become the cradle of clean energy in the united states. Covering vast areas across five states, the doe has identified about 70,000 acres of land ripe for redevelopment into clean energy projects, including solar, wind, and even nuclear power.
