Afghanistan faces another humanitarian crisis

Afghanistan is facing its coldest winter in 15 years. Afghans are also facing food shortages, with four million children being malnourished. At least 170 people have died due to the cold wave, including nearly 80,000 livestock. The poverty-stricken citizens don't have enough money to heat their homes and hospitals are overwhelmed with the sick.
