A rapid emergency landing was made by a JetBlue flight in Kansas after a smoke alarm went off in the cargo which made the pilots make a sudden descent as some passengers freaked out and others were left in tears on Saturday evening (Sep 21).

The flight had taken off from JFK Airport in New York City and was sent to land in San Diego, however, it was diverted to Salina, Kansas around 6:30 pm (local time) over the smoke alarm which ultimately was found to be false, said JetBlue, in a statement on Sunday (Sep&nbsp;22).

According to the Salina Airport Authority, there were nearly 130 people on board.

“JetBlue flight 1189 diverted to Salina, Kansas, when the pilots received an alert that there might be smoke in the cargo hold, descending safely and landing without incident,” said a JetBlue spokesperson in an email, as reported by the New York Report.

“Upon inspection, we determined the smoke indication presented to our pilots was a false indication," he added.

In less than 10 minutes, the plane dropped down more than 30,000 feet, as reported by Flight Radar 24 data.

“Some passengers did report hearing a loud bang, too, and so we descended incredibly rapidly and landed in the extremely small airport in Salina," he said.

Computer Emergency Response Team-India (CERT-In) issued an alert on September 19 highlighting security concerns across several Apple software platforms like iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS. The warning came as the US tech giant rolled out Apple’s iPhone 16 series globally.

According to the cybersecurity agency, following Apple products and software versions are at the highest risk.

Mexico's first 'Naked Day' march leaps forward to normalise nudity

A truck belonging to the civic body in the western Indian city of Pune and a couple of two-wheelers fell into a massive sinkhole that abruptly appeared on Friday (Sep 20). The incident took place&nbsp;in the parking area of the City Post Office&nbsp;located in the crowded Samadhan Chowk of the Budhwar Peth area in the city.&nbsp;

The incident caused alarm&nbsp;in the area but fortunately, there was no casualty as the driver of the truck managed to get out in the nick of time. Notably, the truck belonging to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), used to clean drainage lines, was parked when the ground, paved with interlocking cement blocks, gave way.&nbsp;

As many as 20 personnel of the fire department and police were roped in for the rescue operation.&nbsp;

"At 4.15 pm IST we received a call that at the City Post Office on Laxmi Road a truck fell after the road caved in. Our two fire vehicles reached the spot. We came to know that the truck was there to carry out drainage cleaning work," Fire Department PRO&nbsp;Nilesh Mahajan was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

"The driver jumped off the vehicle, so he is safe. Metro officials have arrived here. We have called JCB machines and cranes to pull the truck out. Our priority is to take out the vehicle. The pit might be 40-50 feet deep," he added.&nbsp;

A neurosurgeon has claimed that he experienced what "heaven" was like after he slipped into a coma. Dr Eben Alexander, in his book, "Map of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon Explores the Mysteries of the Afterlife &amp; The Truth About What Lies Beyond", talks about travelling through a "series of realms" which defied "all the known laws of science".

He calls his journey his "map of Heaven" where he says he had out-of-body experiences and angelic encounters. He also went on to talk about why he knew it was real and not mere hallucinations as he lay in a vegetative state on a hospital bed.&nbsp;

Alexander writes that he landed in a coma after contracting meningitis and his chances of survival were zero. He worked at the Lynchburg General Hospital in Virginia and was admitted there. He says he was in a "deep coma, a vegetative state, and all the higher functions of my brain were offline. Scans showed no conscious activity".

The coma continued for seven days and during this time, he says, his "consciousness went on a voyage through a series of realms, each one more extraordinary than the last".&nbsp;

He says he knows the "journey was not something happening inside my head."

Recalling what he went through after slipping into a coma, Dr Alexander said he "felt like being buried in earth", but he sometimes heard and saw, other entities. While he couldn't remember what it was like being human, he says that even there he was still questioning what was happening around him.

Sometime later, he says he saw light coming from above, "a circular entity, emitting a beautiful, heavenly music" that he called the "Spinning Melody". It was "like a rip in the fabric" and he went through that rip, "up into a valley full of lush and fertile greenery, where waterfalls flowed into crystal pools."

Alexander says he witnessed "stunning blue-black velvety skies filled with swooping orbs of golden light" and heard angelic choirs produce "hymns and anthems far beyond anything I had ever encountered on earth".

After reaching what he calls "the Core, that deepest sanctuary of the Divine — filled with infinite inky blackness", he encountered the "infinitely powerful, all-knowing deity". He says he later called it Om, because of the sound vibrating through that realm.

He says throughout his journey he had a guide, a beautiful woman he had never seen before, whose gaze led to an "abundance of emotion" which was neither romantic love nor friendship.

Meanwhile, on Earth, he suddenly regained consciousness after seven days. He says he had forgotten his past life and had to learn everything from scratch. Slowly, over weeks, his knowledge came back.&nbsp;

However, it is not the first time a zoo in China has tried to do a similar scam. In May, Taizhou Zoo also tried a similar activity by painting several dogs in black and white. When the authorities were asked about the scam, a representative said, “There are no panda bears at the zoo, and we wanted to do this as a result.”&nbsp;

Many furious locals and animal rights groups have slammed the act as animal cruelty. Dying an animal’s fur can be dangerous and fatal. Some animals can sustain serious burns or maybe die due to the deadly toxins in the dye.&nbsp;

The woman, who is currently a freelance content writer, said, “Six years back I got my first offer letter from EY It was a dream for me to get placed (off campus ) in a Big4 immediately after graduating. I was excited to move to Bengaluru for work; as a girl who wasn’t away from her home, not even once, everything seemed to be a dream come true moment, but within a few months, I realised I was in a toxic work environment, which took a toll on my food, sleep and mental health.”

Nearly half a dozen people, who were sitting facing Trump's back on the stage, said that they got afflicted with a mysterious disease.

Some of them complained about facing severe irritation in their eyes and had to seek medical attention.

Pro-life advocate and Trump fan,&nbsp;Mayra Rodriguez said&nbsp;that her "eyes were burning" as soon as she left the rally so she went directly to the emergency room.

"The emergency room staff, from the triage nurse to the PA asked are you sure you didn't get sprayed with something your symptoms look like you got sprayed with something," said Rodriguez, according to&nbsp;Daily Mail Online.&nbsp;

"I can't see anything when I try to open my eyes. I see a bright light. It hurts, it hurts a lot to open my eyes. I have this cold cloth I put on and take off constantly. It's horrible," she added.

Rodriguez stated her vision started getting restored by Tuesday (September 17) and the problem did not persist.

However, she was not the only one who suffered such an illness after attending the rally.

"It kept getting worse and worse, my eyes were watering a lot, my nose started running then I started feeling my face get really flushed and my neck felt like it was on fire and it just progressed from there," said another attendee, while speaking to KVOA.

Rodriguez's brother also complained about a similar issue. "It was all focused on my eyes, my eyes were red like hell you know, it's unbearable. I couldn't handle it," he added.

Meanwhile, some have claimed that the creature was a&nbsp;chupacabra, which is famous for feasting on livestock as per the folklore.

"I have three different cameras at three different hunting areas – they catch coyote, deer, bobcats, rabbits, raccoons, foxes," said Demel, while speaking to Pen News.

"I look at approximately 100 plus pics from the three cameras daily, but that was the only photo it showed up on. My first reaction was something didn't look right, so I stopped on the picture to zoom in. My first instinct was that it was a monkey," he added.

In the picture, the eerie creature was seen to have a long snout, small top of the head and lumps down its back which made many believe it was a skinwalker.
