<p>Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Zaheer Khan has been left disappointed by pitch dished out at their home ground by the curator. The disappointment came after LSG lost their first game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season by eight wickets and 22 balls left against Punjab Kings. Zaheer, however, hoped that they'll be able to figure it out.</p>

<p>Former India seamer Zaheer Khan is perplexed over Umran Malik's omission from SunRisers Hyderabad squad in the last few games. Malik, 23, was the Emerging Player of the Tournament in IPL 2022, and this season has played just seven&nbsp;games picking five&nbsp;wickets. He, however, didn't feature in the previous few matches.</p>

<p>With SRH already out of IPL 2023, giving Umran a few games would have done good to his confidence. Against RCB in the home tie the other night, Umran was again benched, while Kartik Tyagi was given a go ahead alongside T Natarajan. Following the eight-wicket loss, Zaheer, who is also an expert on Jio Cinema, was left clueless regarding Malik's omission.</p>

<p>Expressing his concern over the same, Zaheer said SRH didn't handle Umran's case well this season.</p>

<p>While with express pace Umran has to offer, he is an outright x-factor, and having achieved little laurels playing in the India jersey, Umran deserved to get an extended run, given its also the World Cup.</p>

<p>Recently, former English spinner Graeme Swann recalled the epic contest and shared an interesting story, where Indian captain Dhoni wasn't pleased with his fielders.</p>

<p>"We were cruising, we were all laughing and joking in the changing room. 'Hah, they are 20 runs short', 'Hah, look at how good we are'. Then all of a sudden, Mishra (Piyush Chawla) got a couple of wickets (of Jonathan Trott and Tim Bresnan). We got really bogged down then. And suddenly, we were never winning the game. And then, as it always happens in one-day cricket, it was down to bowlers to bail out the batsmen and try to win. So, we walked in. I hit Mishra (Chawla) for a six! I picked a googly and hit him for a six and it kind of got us back to the game.</p>

<p>“We still needed 14 runs to win. And Aj (Ajmal Shahzad) came in, and he's like, 'what's happening big lad?' I went, 'mate, let's just do our best'. <p>“It was down to 4 needed off 2 balls. We scampered for two when it should've never been two. It wasn't a very happy MS Dhoni, I can assure you that. On the last ball, it was too full to get underneath and the extra cover dived and stopped it. We only got one,”&nbsp;Swann concluded.</p>
