An Instagram influencer felt the heat after posting a video saying the south Indian city of Bengaluru would be empty if north Indians were asked to leave. After severe backlash, she posted another video to say she loves Bengaluru. The original video appears to have been deleted. The backlash, including from some celebrities in the southern state of Karnataka, came after digital content creator Sugandh Sharma said in a video that Bengaluru will lose its charm if migrants left. Watch: Gravitas: Would you trust an influencer over a journalist? × Kannadigas "must understand that before asking us to leave,” Sharma said in the video which she titled Bengaluru is of everyone, not just one person. Pretty girls who dance to Punjabi music won’t be seen in the city, paying guest accommodations (PGs) and clubs would be deserted and people would not enjoy rent income without North Indians, she claimed. Sharma's video faced sharp reaction from ordinary citizens as well as celebrities including actors Chandan Shetty, Chaithra Achar and Anupama Gowda. We can live with it. Really. Forget all other North Indians. You leave ma’am, enough for now!,” Achar commented. Gowda wrote, “If you think this is cool, nope it isn’t. You need Bengaluru more than anything else and your leaving Bengaluru doesn’t make any difference to our OORU [land] and for a fact, we all know you can’t leave Bengaluru – if you know you know.” Actress Varsha Bollamma wrote, “Please leave.” Also read: Turkey arrests woman for criticising govt's ban on Instagram An Instagram user wrote: "We are eagerly waiting to see our Bengaluru without people who are not even grateful for the lifestyle they have got because of Bengaluru..take your whole gang away... doesn’t make a difference to the actual Kannadigas!” Asking her to leave, another wrote, "I can sponsor your one-way ticket. Please leave the city.” After the backlash, the influencer wrote in a new post on Sunday (Sep 22): "I love Bengaluru so don't spread hate." Ind vs Ban, 1st Test: Akash Deep BREATHES FIRE with clean strikes to leave Bangladesh reeling on Day 2 - Watch

<p>India started the opening day of the first Test versus Bangladesh, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Thursday (Sep 19), on a poor note after being asked to bat first. Courtesy of Hasan Mahmud, India were 34-3 with captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli falling for cheap. Kohli had all eyes on himself as he marked his return to the Test side after the South Africa tour, missing the England home series early this year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, Kohli failed to get going and departed for a run-a-ball six, being caught behind by Litton Das off Mahmud. The pacer exposed Kohli's weakness outside the off-stump as the 35-year-old edged one behind the stumps. <strong>Here is the video of Kohli's dismissal:</strong></p>

We have prepared well, so we should back our potential and play the way we know. Looking at the 10 Test matches, every match is important. But we want to focus on what lies in front of us. We came here a week back, we had a good prep leading up to this one. We feel confident. Three seamers and two spinners - Bumrah, Akash Deep, Siraj, Ashwin and Jadeja."</p>

India started the opening day of the first Test versus Bangladesh, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Thursday (Sep 19), on a poor note after being asked to bat first. Courtesy of Hasan Mahmud, India were 34-3 with captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli falling for cheap. Kohli had all eyes on himself as he marked his return to the Test side after the South Africa tour, missing the England home series early this year. However, Kohli failed to get going and departed for a run-a-ball six, being caught behind by Litton Das off Mahmud. The pacer exposed Kohli's weakness outside the off-stump as the 35-year-old edged one behind the stumps. To teach “boys and men” about something simple like consent, two doctors took to Instagram and shared a simple video about consent and how it works. The video has been receiving a lot of appreciation from people, especially women. The two doctors tried to educate people on consent over a cup of tea with four cases in which consent can be understood. The video was captioned," Explain like I’m 5 years old: What is consent? Seems obvious? You’d be surprised. To men who truly want to help create change, it’s time you stop telling the world it’s #notallmen, and ask yourself why there are #notenoughmen." Doctors break down basics of consent 'like a 5 years old' in a must-watch viral video for boys and men

<p>A content creator who also works as a Zomato delivery person shared a video of his food delivery day and how much money he receives after working for 30 minutes. The video has become a topic of debate among netizens with some calling the food delivery company cruel for paying such a low wage to the delivery guy, while others said&nbsp;since the job requires no skills, the lower wage is justified.</p>

<p>The video starts with the man accepting an order. It then shows him going to the restaurant and picking up the food. Eventually, he goes to the customer to deliver the item and finally completes the order to earn ₹20 ($0.24). This one food delivery took him 30 minutes to complete.</p>

<p>The video was shared on August 3 and has garnered over 69,000 likes and several comments. While some were shocked to learn about the hard work of earning only ₹20, others were unsure of the video and believed that the food&nbsp;delivery company also paid some monthly salary to their delivery partners.</p>

A content creator who also works as a Zomato delivery person shared a video of his food delivery day and how much money he receives after working for 30 minutes. The video has become a topic of debate among netizens with some calling the food delivery company cruel for paying such a low wage to the delivery guy, while others said since the job requires no skills, the lower wage is justified. The video starts with the man accepting an order. It then shows him going to the restaurant and picking up the food. Eventually, he goes to the customer to deliver the item and finally completes the order to earn ₹20 ($0.24). This one food delivery took him 30 minutes to complete. Literal doomscrolling: Video of Rapido driver watching YouTube Shorts while driving goes viral

<p>The Chinese internet is flooded with videos and posts about protests that took place this week after a delivery driver was made to kneel in front of security guards. Some reports said it was a female rider, but that could not be verified as the person had a helmet and mask on.</p>

<p>Incidentally, the whole episode happened as a Chinese movie about the life of gig workers becoming a big hit in the country.</p>

<p>The incident that took place in the eastern city of Hangzhou exposed chinks in the Chinese gig worker economy, where delivery drivers for apps are made to work long hours for poor pay, and virtually no medical or social protections.</p>

<h2><strong>What happened with the delivery driver in China?</strong></h2>

<p>The incident happened on Monday (Aug 12) when the delivery driver was caught by security guards, apparently after damaging a fence of a compound while delivering a food order.</p>

<p>The driver was held back by the security guards, who asked for payment for the damaged fence.</p>

<p>The rider kneeled before the guards, pleading to be allowed to go as other deliveries were getting delayed, according to local police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other delivery drivers in the area gathered, demanding the release of their fellow driver.</p>

<p>The whole thing was caught on camera.</p>

The Chinese internet is flooded with videos and posts about protests that took place this week after a delivery driver was made to kneel in front of security guards. Some reports said it was a female rider, but that could not be verified as the person had a helmet and mask on. Incidentally, the whole episode happened as a Chinese movie about the life of gig workers becoming a big hit in the country. The incident that took place in the eastern city of Hangzhou exposed chinks in the Chinese gig worker economy, where delivery drivers for apps are made to work long hours for poor pay, and virtually no medical or social protections. The incident happened on Monday (Aug 12) when the delivery driver was caught by security guards, apparently after damaging a fence of a compound while delivering a food order. The driver was held back by the security guards, who asked for payment for the damaged fence. The rider kneeled before the guards, pleading to be allowed to go as other deliveries were getting delayed, according to local police. Other delivery drivers in the area gathered, demanding the release of their fellow driver. The whole thing was caught on camera. <p>In a bizarre incident, a TikTok creator revealed how the American Airlines flight was diverted due to a medical emergency, which was later found to be a lice infestation.</p>

<p>The flight, which took off from Los Angeles and was bound to land in New York, was rerouted to Phoenix. Among the passengers was Ethan Judelson, who posted a video on TikTok detailing how American Airlines did not inform the travellers of what actually happened.</p>

<p>In the video that reached over 1.2 million views, Judelson describes how he saw a woman causing a commotion as she rushed through the aisle towards the front as soon as the plane landed. While he was confused, no other passenger paid attention to it.</p>

<p>"It just seemed like one of those people who, as soon as the seatbelt sign goes off, gets up and tries to be the first to their bag," he told People, recalling the incident. "So the girl next to me ... we were both like, 'Why is she so rushed to get off? We're all getting off together, calm down."</p>

<p>The airlines told them that they would learn more about the situation once the plane was deboarded. However, the only thing they learned was that the flight to New York would take off in 12 hours.</p>

<p>After they landed in Phoenix, they got a voucher for a stay at a hotel via email from the airlines. On TikTok, Judelson mentioned two women gave him "cryptic" answers when asked about what happened.</p>

<p>"Let's just say it was in the best interest of everyone here that they did this. It's for the safety of the plane," they told him.</p>

<p>The following day, Judelson was shocked to find out from another passenger that the reason for the emergency landing was a lice outbreak. They told him the women who gave cryptic answers, saw bugs crawling in the hair of the woman seated next to them and informed the flight attendant.</p>

<p>After they boarded the plane again, they were assigned the same seats, which resulted in a major scene when the two women returned to the same seat where they spotted the lice.</p>

<p>"They would not sit in that seat," the TikToker said.</p>

<p>In a statement to People, the airlines confirmed the diversion of American Airlines flight 2201 on June 15, but only stated that it was "due to the medical needs of a customer."</p>

Among the passengers was Ethan Judelson, who posted a video on TikTok detailing how American Airlines did not inform the travellers of what actually happened. In the video that reached over 1.2 million views, Judelson describes how he saw a woman causing a commotion as she rushed through the aisle towards the front as soon as the plane landed. While he was confused, no other passenger paid attention to it. "So the girl next to me ... we were both like, 'Why is she so rushed to get off? We're all getting off together, calm down." The airlines told them that they would learn more about the situation once the plane was deboarded. However, the only thing they learned was that the flight to New York would take off in 12 hours. After they landed in Phoenix, they got a voucher for a stay at a hotel via email from the airlines. On TikTok, Judelson mentioned two women gave him "cryptic" answers when asked about what happened. "Let's just say it was in the best interest of everyone here that they did this. It's for the safety of the plane," they told him. They told him the women who gave cryptic answers, saw bugs crawling in the hair of the woman seated next to them and informed the flight attendant. After they boarded the plane again, they were assigned the same seats, which resulted in a major scene when the two women returned to the same seat where they spotted the lice. "They would not sit in that seat," the TikToker said. In a statement to People, the airlines confirmed the diversion of American Airlines flight 2201 on June 15, but only stated that it was "due to the medical needs of a customer."
