This year has not been lucky for Akshay Kumar when it comes to his movie and especially the Box office collection. One after another, Kumar every film tanked at the box office, whether it was his 'Bachchan Pandey' one of the anticipated movies, or high-budget drama 'Prithviraj' or his most recent 'Rakhsha Bandhan', the movie released on the big weekend of the Indian festival of the same name, but still, the movie failed to rake in big numbers.

Now, Akshay has finally broken his silence on his back-to-back flops. During the trailer launch of his next film 'Cuttputlli', which will release directly on OTT, the 'Khiladi' actor has reacted to the tough phase Bollywood is going through that even some high-budget superstars' films failed to give them big numbers.

Acknowledging the poor performance of his films, Akshay admitted that it was all their fault, that they are not able to understand the audience's demand.

''Films are not working, it is our fault, my fault. I have to make changes, understand what the audience wants and there is nobody else to be blamed for it but me." The actor said, as per HT.

Reacting to the question about how actors are now taking a safe route of OTT after looking at the box office failure, “It is not safe, that also requires people to say if they like the trailer or not. Nothing is safe, it is not our safety net. Even here (on OTT) people are watching, the media is watching it, the critics are watching it, the audience is watching it, they give feedback whether they like it or not. So, there’s nothing like creating a safe space, you have to work hard, period,'' he said as per HT.

Talking about his most recent release 'Raksha Bandhan', the movie opened up with mixed and failed to rake in big moolah at the BO. In the first week of it's release, the film only raked in Rs 38.60 crore, as per BoxOfficeIndia.

Actor Brooke Shields' daughter Rowan recently went for her sophomore year of college, and the mother of two discovered that it wasn't any simpler this time around.

Shields shared a tearful video on Instagram in which she described how it felt to send her daughter off to her second year of college. "Turns out the second time is NOT the charm when it comes to your baby going off to college. Sophomore year, here she comes. I'll be crying if you need me...," she captioned the video.

"So I just waved my daughter goodbye again, and I thought it would be easier the second time. She's already been away and been with me all summer, but I'm not making the drive with her, she's driving with her dad," Shields shared in the post. "But she's taking my car, which was my car as my graduation present car, so she's going to be driving that," the actress continued.

For people travelling on Flight ET343, August 15 was an experience that was both harrowing and miraculous. Pilots of the flight, which was travelling from Khartoum to Addis Ababa, apparently fell asleep at 37,000 feet in the air and missed their landing.

As per the Aviation Herald, the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737-800 continued past its scheduled destination: the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and didn't approach the runway. In spite of multiple tries, Air Traffic Control (ATC) was unable to reach the crew.

When the plane overflew the runway, the autopilot mode was disengaged, and "the disconnect wailer woke the crew up, who then manoeuvred the aircraft for a safe landing on the runway about 25 minutes after overflying the runway."

As `Krrish 4` is in the works, actor Hrithik Roshan took a stroll down memory lane and shared that it`s actually the `The Lord of the Rings` trilogy that inspired his father and director Rakesh Roshan to turn his 2003 film `Koi.. Mil Gaya` into a franchise.

"There is a little connection between me and the `The Lord of the Rings`. One random day back in 2004, my dad put on the `Lord of the Rings` part 1...he saw the film..he enjoyed it so much that he watched one film after another. After finishing all the parts, he gave me a call and started talking about the trilogy," Hrithik said during a promotional event of Amazon Prime Video`s upcoming series `The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power` in Mumbai on Thursday.

He added," My father (Rakesh Roshan) talked about the way they (Lord of the Rings makers) use this one great, incredible idea and then had this progression, which was so incredible. He was like, why can`t we do that? And that was the birth of Krrish. So if there was no Lord of the Rings, there wouldn`t have been any Krrish.

The first `Krrish` movie released in 2006 while the second film in the series, titled `Krrish 3` hit the screens in 2013. Both the films featured Priyanka Chopra opposite Hrithik.
In 2021, on the occasion of the 15 years of `Krrish`, Hrithik had taken to Instagram to officially announce the expansion of `Krrish` world with the fourth part."The past is done. Let`s see what the future brings. Krrish 4. #15yearsofKrrish," he had written, adding a small clip of his animated look from `Krrish`.

Apart from talking about the `Krrish` franchise, Hrithik also expressed his excitement about watching the new `The Lord of the Rings` series." I am super excited to watch it. This is the kind of stuff that I aspire for," he said.

The upcoming series, which brings to screens the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-Earth`s history, is all set to be out on September 2.

The cast includes Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, and Lloyd Owen among others.

Aamir Khan and his most recent movie 'Laal Singh Chaddha' has become the most debatable topic in the country. The movie has tanked at the box office and the one major reason behind the film's BO low numbers is the boycott the movie faced online.

#Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha has been countries top trend for a month now, and even after the release, the controversy around the movie is refusing to die. So far, many celebrities have reacted to the trend and most of them have spoken in Aamir's support only.

Vijay is busy promoting his most-awaited movie 'Liger' and during his interview with India Today, the actor said that boycott is not affecting Aamir alone, but the ''economy''

"I just think on a film set, other than the actor, director, and actress, there are many other important characters, there are 200-300 actors working on a film and all of us have staff members, so a film gives employment to many people and is a source of livelihoods for many,'' he said.

When you decide to boycott a film, you are not only affecting Aamir Khan, you are affecting thousands of families who lose work and livelihoods."

Further, he praised Aamir and the fan-following he had. "Aamir Sir is someone who pulls the crowd to the theatres. I am not sure why this boycott call is happening, but for whatever misunderstanding this is happening, please realize you are not affecting Aamir Khan alone but the economy. It is a much bigger picture."

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift`s acting career is about to take off with David O. Russell`s "Amsterdam," in which she plays a grieving woman in a key supporting role.

The drama, starring Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington, is set to be Swift`s most high-profile film yet. However, it turns out that she could have had "The Twilight Saga" on her resume had her agent`s wishes not been denied by "New Moon" director Chris Weitz.

According to Variety, Swift`s agent said that Swift wanted any kind of role in "New Moon," even just "someone at the cafeteria, or the diner or whatever. She just wants to be in this movie.""Taylor Swift was a huge Twi-hard, and Taylor Swift and I had the same agent at the time and he said, `Taylor would like to be in this movie - not because of you, but she`s a Twi-hard," Weitz recently revealed "The Twilight Effect" podcast with Ashley Greene and Melanie Howe.

Weitz turned down the agent`s request because he thought Swift was too famous to be in "New Moon." Swift would obtrusively draw attention away from the other actors and the plot if she suddenly appeared on the screen.

"The hardest thing for me was to be like, the moment that Taylor Swift walks onto the screen, for about five minutes, nobody is going to be able to process anything," Weitz said. "I kick myself for it too, because - I was like, wow, I could`ve been hanging out with Taylor Swift. She must have been like, `Who is this jerk?` But sometimes you make decisions thinking this is for the best of the film."
Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner`s "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" amassed $709 million at the global box office in 2009. The film`s $72 million domestic opening day take at the box office at the time was the biggest ever for a domestic release. It held the record for almost two years, but "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" later broke it with $91 million in 2011.

Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt were one of the happiest couples of Hollywood until their 2016 flight from France to the US, which changed everything in their life. It's been seven years and the feud between the ex-couple is still the talk of the world, whether it's their divorce, custody battle, assault charges, FBI inquiry or their winery fight. Now, new reports are coming out about the couple's famous jet fight revealing Jolie's injuries that she sustained during the rough brawl.
As Page Six report, Jolie told the officials about how badly drunk Pitt was on the flight when he ''shrieked at her in the flight restroom'' when they were coming back from Nice, France, to the US.

In the report, she also alleged that how 'The Bullet Train' actor ''grabbed her by her head and shook and pushed her into the wall. And yelled, “You’re f–king up this family”.
After Pitt's response, Jolie claimed that one of their children shouted: “It’s not her, it’s you, you p—k”. The comment made Pitt more furious and as a result he ran toward one of her children “like he was going to attack.”

Emilia Clarke needs no introduction. The actress rose to international fame thanks to her role as Daenerys Targaryen in 'Game of Thrones'. Recently, her millions of fans were filled with outrage after a CEO of an Australian television company Foxtel, Patrick Delany called Emilia a 'short, dumpy girl'. However, the network has issued an apology if ''his remarks were misunderstood.''

Delany made the controversial remark while he addressed the premiere event of HBO's most-anticipated sequel show 'House of Dragon'.

During the Sydney premiere, Delany was talking about the massive following 'Game of Thrones' had, when he started talking about Emilia's lead character Daenerys and made fun of her iconic scenes from the show when she steps into the burning fire.

“I was like, ‘What’s this show with the dumpy-looking girl who walks into the flames?’” he said about Emilia's character, as per Crikey.

However, as per the reports, everyone was left shocked.

“It felt like he was expecting us to laugh along but people in the room were obviously shocked by it,” one said.

“There was a bit of a gasp,” another said.

Later after the outrage, Foxtel issued an apology on behalf of its CEO, who has been one of the networks' heads since 2018 and clarified his message.

Further, they added on behalf of his comment, that for him the fantasy series was a very different thing: ''The aim was to convey that for him, Games of Thrones was something very different for television in 2011 and that Emilia Clarke went from relatively unknown to one of the most recognised and most-loved actors in television and film,' a spokesperson said on Wednesday.

''On behalf of Mr Delany, the Foxtel Group apologises if his remarks were misunderstood and caused any offence.''

Did Princess Diana predict her own death? We are not, a new documentary is suggesting so. According to the Discovery+ docuseries 'The Diana Investigations', covered by Daily Beast, Diana fondly known as the 'people's princess' had predicted her death two years before her car crash accident in Paris, France.

Diana died on 31st August 1997 with her boyfriend Dodi Fayed.

The bombshell revelations state that Diana called her legal adviser Victor Mischon in 1995 for a very secretive meeting in which she said that something tragic would take place — it can be a car crash or anything and it's all being planned.

The shocking revelations come from a very “reliable source,” whom Diana had not disclosed during the meeting, who had informed her that by April 1996, efforts would be made to “get rid of her''.

Tom Holland to be the next James Bond? Here's what we know

She further revealed that they will try to injure her badly via any means, it can be a car accident, brake failure or any other means.

Daily Beats quotes the note as follows, ''Injure her to the point where she would be deemed “unbalanced” — in a car accident via brake failure or other means.''

Lord Mishcon made notes out of the meeting.

Two years after the closed-door meeting, as predicted by Diana, she died in a deadly car crash along with her boyfriend and driver Henri Paul, who under influence of prescribed drugs and alcohol, rammed the car in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris.

Paul was speeding the car to dodge the reporters who were following them at the night.

“The letter was given by Lord Mishcon to my predecessor, Paul Condon, and he put it in his safe,” Lord Stevens, who headed the Diana death inquiry, told Daily Beast.

“I was only made aware of that when I was made commissioner myself… and I had been made aware that Lord Mishcon had said he hadn’t actually attached much importance to it.

For the unversed, this is not the first time when any letter about Diana's death mystery has come out. Before this, a mysterious letter was published by Diana's butler Paul Burrell, which the former Royal allegedly wrote when her divorce was underway in 1996.

Charles and Diana got divorced in the year1996.

In the note, she said that her husband Prince Charles is planning an accident.

“My husband is planning ‘an accident in my car, brake failure and serious head injury in order to make the path clear for him to marry Tiggy,” she wrote. Prince Charles was reportedly interrogated by the U.K. police in 2005.

According to Fox News, a copy of the FBI`s forensic report obtained by ABC News states that the gun used on the New Mexico movie set could not have been fired without the trigger being pulled.

The FBI conducted an accidental discharge test and determined the gun used in the fatal shooting of Hutchins "could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger," the report stated.
The test showed that when the 45 Colt caliber F.lli Pietta single-action revolver`s hammer was in the quarter and half-cock positions, the gun would not fire without the trigger being pulled, reported Fox News.

Baldwin, who was in possession of the firearm on set, told ABC News in December that he did not fire the weapon. He said, "The trigger wasn`t pulled. I didn`t pull the trigger."The Santa Fe Sheriff`s Office has received the full forensic report from the FBI, nearly 10 months since the fatal `Rust` shooting, which resulted in Hutchins` death.
A press release stated that the Santa Fe Sheriffs` detectives received the FBI`s completed forensic reports on August 2. They were then forwarded to the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) "for review.""The OMI had advised the Sheriff`s Office that they required these forensic reports to finalize their investigation," the release read. The sheriff`s office received the "official OMI reports" on Wednesday, as per Fox News.
WION's review on Laal Singh Chaddha:

WION's film critic Shomini Sen writes, ''The beauty of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' lies in the fact that while some important messages are delivered through the narrative, it never turns preachy. It celebrates humanity above religion and caste — somewhat like Aamir's other film 'PK'. But while 'PK' did have Aamir Khan preaching about humanity, here the messaging is subtle and more layered. At the onset, it is about a slow-witted Laal and the people in his life but when you look deeper, the film is a commentary on evolving socio-political scenario in India. Without taking sides, the film tries to reiterate that humanity is above religion. "Mazhab malaria paida kar sakta hai," says Aamir to Vij's character in a poignant moment.'' Read our review here:

Prabhas is back with his new action avatar. Marking the special occasion of Independence day, makers announced the much-awaited release date of 'Baahubali' star's fourthcoming project 'Salaar'. 'KGF' director Prashanth Neel's movie will release next year on 28th September 2023. The movie was set to release in theatres on April 14, 2022, but was postponed after the halt due to covid. Along with the release date, the makers also dropped the poster featuring Prabhas. Looking at the actor's looks seems like the movie will be dark, high on action, violent, and might be one of the 2023's biggest blockbusters. 'PIPPA' teaser: Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur's film recounts 1971 Indo-Pak war Sharing the poster, Prabhas wrote, ''#TheEraOfSalaarBegins.
