During a third-tier game of Spanish football on Saturday (Mar 30), Rayo Majadahonda goalkeeper Cheikh Kane Sarr was given the marching orders after remonstrating with one supporter behind his goal over alleged racial abuse. The game was suspended as Sarr's teammates walked off the pitch.&nbsp;

Earlier in the day, Sevilla manager Quique Sanchez Flores was subjected to racist language by Getafe fans who also yelled "Acuna monkey" and "Acuna, you come from monkeys", at the World Cup-winning player.&nbsp;

Reflecting on the situation, Vini Jr. took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) account and said: "This weekend, I won't even play. But we had three despicable cases of racism in Spain this Saturday alone. All my support for Acuña @AcunaMarcos17 and coach Quique Flores, from @SevillaFC. To Sarr and @RMajadahonda may your bravery inspire others."

"Racists must be exposed and the games cannot continue with them in the stands. We will only have victory when the racists leave the stadiums straight to jail, a place they deserve," he added.&nbsp;

The cartoon by Foxford Comics of the all-Indian crew which was on board the DALI cargo vessel that collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, on Tuesday, has invited public wrath.&nbsp;

The cartoon shows the Indian crew members wearing just loin cloth and standing in what looks like the inside of the ship in muddy water as the vessel eventually approaches and collides with the bridge.&nbsp;

The cartoon which has since garnered 2.6 million views on X was criticised by hundreds of people with many calling it 'racist', while also pointing out that the ship was likely being steered by a local American, according to the country’s laws.&nbsp;

This was also highlighted by Indian economist and member of the Economic Advisory Council to prime minister, Sanyal. “At the time that the ship hit the bridge, it would have had a local pilot,” he said.&nbsp;

“In any case, the crew had warned the authorities which is why the casualties were relatively few (for such a disaster). But, hey, why give up a chance to do racist cartoons,” Sanyal added.&nbsp;

Addressing the incident, United States President Joe Biden praised the local authorities for acting promptly seconds before the bridge collapsed and also hailed the Indian crew of the ship who sent the SOS.&nbsp;

“Personnel on board the ship were able to alert the Maryland Department of Transportation that they had lost control of their vessel, as you all know and have reported,” said the US president.&nbsp;

He added, “As a result, local authorities were able to close the bridge to traffic before the bridge was struck, which undoubtedly saved lives,” said the US president.&nbsp;

Milan did return to play after five minutes and went on to win the match 3-2, pushing Udinese to 16th in the points table and precariously near the relegation zone. However, the incident once again reignited the conversation about the prevalent racism in the Italian league, infamous because of it. After the incident gained traction, Udinese identified the culprit fan and banned him for life from attending any match for the club. "In a joint effort with the local police authorities and utilizing the Bluenergy Stadium security cameras. Udinese Calcio has identified the first individual responsible for discriminatory behaviour towards AC Milan player Mike Maignan," said the club in a statement "This person will face a lifetime ban from attending any Udinese Calcio matches. This ban is effective immediately." "Never, ever has this happened to me before, and it's been continuous [over]&nbsp;the last two, three months," Singh, who runs a popular Indian restaurant Dawat – The Invitation', told ABC News on Wednesday (Nov 15).

The first incident happened a few months back when he found that his car handle was covered with dog poop. This happened for several days in a row.

Later, he found racist graffiti in his driveway, telling him to "go home, Indian".

Though he reported the matter to the police, lack of video evidence hampered the investigation.

The landlord then installed cameras at the property, which eased the situation a bit, but then threatening letters started to come.

Those letters were filled with racial slurs, however, Singh decided to ignore it after reporting to the police.

But subsequent letters contained even more offensive words than the previous ones. It included threats to damage his car, and also had comments like "you can **** off back to India", reports ABC News.

"It's mentally very stressful when it comes to your house, and particularly [being targeted]&nbsp;with your name on it," he was quoted as saying.

Singh found massive support from his customers and expressed his gratitude in a social media post.

"I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support I have received in many ways, phone calls, messages, and personal visit to our restaurant just to check on me," he wrote.

"Thanks you so much everyone in Hobart your support, love and emotions shows that we all are together and there is no space for racism in our beautiful country."

Following this, Tasmania Police Commander Jason Elmer put out a statement informing that they are investigating the incident.

In a statement to The Irish Times, Gymnastics Ireland said it immediately engaged with the girl's parents after receiving the complaint. It also said that this was done "in addition to immediately engaging with the official in question."

"Initially we attempted to address the matter through the informal process of our discipline and complaints policy," said Gymnastics Ireland.

"However, following a series of communications with the parents they informed Gymnastics Ireland that they would not be engaging in the process and were seeking legal advice," it added.

"I am really satisfied that the confidence was clear, everyone has been able to see that this summer has been challenging around this discussion of racism," Orpo told reporters after the vote.

"The government does not accept any form of racism," he added.

Parliament voted separately over confidence in Finance Minister Riikka Purra and Economic Affairs Minister Wille Rydman, both of the Finns Party, and they also won parliamentary backing.

Purra, who is the Finns Party's leader, apologised in July for anonymous comments she acknowledged she had posted online about 15 years ago, although she said many had been taken out of context.

The Finns Party's first economy minister Vilhelm Junnila resigned at the end of June, just 10 days into his term in office, after being accused of having made repeated references to Adolf Hitler and Nazis.

The party soon replaced him with Rydman, whose former girlfriend then leaked to Finland's largest daily Helsingin Sanomat his private messages that contained racial slurs.

US Republican Governor from the state of Florida, Ron DeSantis, on Thursday (September 7) got into a heated argument with an audience member during a press conference, who blamed him for the racially motivated mass shooting that left three Black people dead in Jacksonville, last month.&nbsp;

According to reports, the exchange which lasted not more than three minutes, started out cordial with both DeSantis and the unidentified man thanking each other for their military service. However, the unidentified man went on to accuse DeSantis of enacting policies “that hurt people like myself and the people that I love,” including his children.&nbsp;

The person also said that the policies the Florida governor backs have led to weapons going to “hateful people.” Subsequently, a visibly angry DeSantis said, “You don’t get to come here and blame me for some madman.” He added, “That is not appropriate and I’m not going to accept it.”

The suspected gunman responsible for a tragic incident at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida was identified as Ryan Christopher Palmeter. The shooting, which took place on August 27 is believed to be motivated by racial hatred and resulted in the deaths of three Black individuals.&nbsp;

Palmeter allegedly shot three people before killing himself and left behind a last will and testament, along with disturbing writings which are called something like hatred-filled “the diary of a madman”.&nbsp;

Speaking about the incident during the exchange DeSantis said that the suspected gunman should have been “Baker Acted,” referring to a law in the state of Florida which allows for family members to involuntary institutionalize an individual in light of a mental health crisis.

“He should have been ruled ineligible…But they didn’t involuntarily commit him,” said the Florida governor. DeSantis then went to interrupt the unidentified man and said, “There is the truth. There is something about the truth. It’s not — everyone doesn’t have their own truth.”

Five former Met Police officers have pleaded guilty to sharing racist jokes in the context of current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Duchess of Sussex, in a WhatsApp group. The messages were sent between September 2020 and 2022.&nbsp;They also targeted Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, and Prince and Princess of Wales.&nbsp;

The officers, Peter Booth (66), Robert Lewis (62), Anthony Elsom (67), Alan Hall (65), and Trevor Lewton (65), have entered their guilty pleas at Westminster magistrates court on Thursday (September 7). They admitted criminal offences over the contents of a messaging group titled "Old Boys Beer Meet".&nbsp;

Local reports have mentioned that Lewis sent racist messages aimed at black people, Romanians, the Chinese, and Muslims. He apparently used a photo of Sunak, Priti Patel and Sajid Javid under the street sign "Browning Street".&nbsp;

Reports citing the government department said that he sent a picture of the late Queen and Philip with a golliwog doll, he also joked about Pakistani flood victims.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, Elsom pleaded guilty to three counts. He reportedly sent by public communication grossly offensive racist messages. He retired from the Met in May 2012.&nbsp;

An elementary school in Flager County in the US state of Florida has come under scanner after reports stated that the school singled out Black students and forced them to attend an assembly&nbsp;about improving their scores on standardised tests, according to a Fox report.&nbsp;

The report states that the students in the fourth and fifth grades were taken out of the class and paraded in the&nbsp;Bunnell Elementary School cafeteria. While high-performing kids were brought to the front and modelled, the other students were offered gift cards to restaurants as rewards for improving their scores.&nbsp;

Flagler County Schools board chair Cheryl Massaro said the assembly should not have happened, but admits, "it did".&nbsp;

Darryl Williams, the parent of a 10-year-old fifth grader said when his son told him about the incident, it made his 'blood boil'.&nbsp;

"In speaking with Mrs&nbsp;Evensen, it is clear there was no malice intended in planning this student outreach. However, sometimes, when you try to think ‘outside the box,’ you forget why the box is there," Moore said.

Moore said the district wanted parents and guardians to actively participate in the educational journey of their wards. However, she conceded that the parents were not properly engaged in the instance.

"While the desire to help this particular subgroup of students is to be commended, how this was done does not meet the expectations we desire among Flagler Schools," said Moore.&nbsp;
