Carolyn Bryant Donham, the white woman who accused Emmett Till, a black teenager of whistling at her and causing his 1955 lynching in Mississippi passed away at 88. As per a death report filed on Thursday in the Calcasieu Parish Corner's Office, she died in hospice care on Tuesday night in Louisiana. Prosecutors sought charges against her for killing Till, 14, up until the year before her death. They failed to convince the jury that she should be put on a trial for "kidnapping and manslaughter." The Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley Institute in a statement following Bryant's death said, "We wish mercy on her soul, even as we regret that she never took responsibility for her role in Till's murder." Bryant's death closes the chapter of one of the most horrifying lynchings in US history.

Who was Emmett Till?

Born in 1941 near Chicago, Till had polio and then developed a stutter. He was 10 when he shifted to Chicago. He later was living with his mother's brother in the small Delta community of Money, Mississippi.

What happened in 1955?

On one summer day in 1955, Till went into a store in Money to buy bubblegum unaware of what was coming for him.

Bryant,21 then, was working alone in the shop while her husband, the shopkeeper was away, accused Till of making improper advances and harassing her while she was alone in the shop.

According to BBC, following Bryant's accusation, her husband Roy Bryant and brother-in-law JW Milam dragged Till from his bed at his uncle's home. They tortured him so badly that his face was unrecognisable when his corpse was recovered from the river three days later. He was even shot in the head and was tied to a 32kg fan.

Appealing for justice for her son, Till's mother Mamie Till Mobley insisted on keeping an open coffin for everyone to see what had been done to the little boy. Some media outlets even published photos of him that shocked the nation. Till's death sparked protests across the county where thousands of people urged for justice.

The two kidnappers were arrested over the murder but were released by an all-white jury. Later, in a magazine interview, they both admitted responsibility but said they had not done anything wrong.

During the trial, Bryant took the stand and testified that Till grabbed her hand and propositioned her. Years later in an interview in 2008, she said that part is not true. This sparked the Department of Justice to re-investigate the case but when asked she denied that she had lied during the trial.

The woman was never taken into custody over the events that led to the lynching of the young boy.

According to an unpublished memoir obtained by the Associated Press, Bryant wrote that she did not know what would happen to Till when she made her accusation.

In the United States, Till's death is also thought to have played a part in the congressional discussions that led to the 1957 Civil Rights Act, which increased African American voting rights in the country.

The ugly face of racism once again surfaced in Israel, this time at Ulpanat Horev, a religious girls' high school in Jerusalem. A racist video depicting girls in Ashkenazi (Jewish people whose ancestors were in France and Central and Eastern Europe) and Mizrahi (descendants of Middle Eastern and North African Jews) representations was posted to the school's Youtube account.

The now-deleted video was published on social media under the title "If the School Was Mizrahi" and was part of the Purim skit. Purim is a joyous Jewish festival commemorating the survival of the Jews in the ancient Persian empire.

The video soon gained traction and received widespread condemnation with people terming its content as racist. When the opposing voices grew stronger, the school decided to take down the video from social media platform.

"This is a video that never should have been made, and it was an accident that happened under our watch," the school's management said in a statement.

"The school apologises and is sorry for the content even though it was made by the students as satire and a parody as part of Purim events. Anyone who was exposed to the school's activity throughout the years knows that this doesn't reflect the schools at all."

Israel: Schoolgirls mock Mizrahi Jews during Purim skit, draw flak for racism

A Conservative politician in the UK has come under the scanner after allegedly claiming that all white men should have Black slaves in a shocking audio recording.

A Conservative politician in the UK has come under the scanner after allegedly claiming that all white men should have Black slaves in a shocking audio recording. The politician has been identified as Pembrokeshire County councillor Andrew Edwards who could also be heard saying that Black people were of 'lower class' than whites while refusing to deny the claims. "Nothing wrong with the skin colour at all. I think all white men should have a Black man as a slave or Black woman as a slave, you know," said Edwards in the audio recording that appeared online. "There's nothing wrong with skin colour, it's just that they're lower class than us white people," he added. It is not yet known where did the 16-second recording clip emerge but it was political opponents who identified Edwards' voice in it. The Tories have confirmed they are investigating the allegations and that Edwards had not yet been suspended from the party or his position. WATCH | UK: Misogyny and racism rampant at fire brigade × Matter referred to Ombudsman When quizzed about the allegations, Edwards refused to confirm whether the recording was of him. Edwards, who represents the Haverfordwest Prendergast ward added that he had referred the matter to a watchdog and could not comment further. "I am aware of such serious allegations being made against me. This is why I have self-referred to the Public Services Ombudsman for an independent evaluation," said Edwards. "It is now in the hands of legal experts and the ombudsman. It would be unfair on the process for me to comment." Meanwhile, Pembrokeshire council also released a statement saying, "We are aware of an allegation being made and have referred the matter to the ombudsman. It would be inappropriate to comment further." Di Clements, the Conservative group leader in the council informed that Edwards had left the party group on the council on Tuesday. Notably, the Tories are the opposition group in the independent-led council. 'White men should have a Black slave': Tory leader caught making racist comments in viral audio clip

In a video that has surfaced online, Andrew Edwards, a County councillor and former magistrate in Pembrokeshire, Wales, is charged with suggesting that Black people are of "lower class" than white people. The reported statement that "all white men should have a Black slave" was made by a Conservative politician is the subject of an investigation for racial remarks. Mr. Edwards has requested the Public Services Ombudsman's assistance. The Pembrokeshire County Council's Conservative group stated that it was looking into the claims, but Mr. Edwards, a school governor as well, has not been suspended.

A United States company is facing backlash on the internet for posting a job advertisement that many have dubbed 'racist'. The Dallas-based IT company Arthur Grand Technologies posted a job offer for a business analyst in its Salesforce and insurance claims team on the job portal Indeed. The company had a peculiar demand for the desired candidates and that they needed to be 'white'.

''Only born US Citizens (White) who are local within 60 miles from Dallas, TX [Don't share with candidates]," read the job vacancy posted. The racial specification was not meant to be shared as suggested by the parenthetic note. However, one of the employees fumbled and posted the entire message online.

Screenshots of the job post instantly went viral on social media platforms and since then, the company has come under heavy fire for discriminating against applicants based on their colour and ethnicity, even in 2023.

One netizen took note of the post and tweeted Warren Buffett whose company Berkshire Hathaway apparently uses the services of Arthur Grand Technologies.

'Discrimination on race?': US company faces backlash for seeking only 'White' candidates in job posting

A new report has claimed that Black girls are prone to endure more invasive form of strip search compared to other races by the Met police.

Around 110 female children and teenagers had to endure invasive strip-search between 2017 and 2022, exposing their private parts. And of those, around 47 per cent were Black females, according to a data analysed by Liberty Investigates.

The data was obtained by the campaign group, which exposes hidden human rights abuses, obtained through the freedom of information request.

The group claimed that the figures are disproportionate and the real figures might be higher than the one shared by the department.

The report came after a similar finding by the children’s commissioner, Dame Rachel de Souza, discovered that Black children were 11 times more likely to be strip-searched than the white kids.

But the data provided by the Liberty Investigates goes much more beyond the one shared by the children’s commissioner.

The report distinguishes between strip-searches which are less invasive, and those where the person’s intimate parts are exposed.

Across both types of strip-search for female children and teens up to the age of 19, the data found that 45 per cent of people searched were Black.

“Black female children are 2.7 times more likely than their white counterparts to be subjected by the Met Police to the most invasive form of strip-search, new figures suggest.”

"According to data obtained via Freedom of Information requests and analysed by Liberty Investigates, 110 female children and teenagers were strip-searched from 2017 to 2022 with intimate parts exposed.”

"Fifty-two of them, or 47 per cent, were Black, while London’s population of Black females up to 19 years old stands at 17.5 per cent,” it said.

The data comes a year after a 15-year-old Black schoolgirl was strip-searched by Met officers in 2020, exposing her intimate parts after she was wrongly suspected of carrying cannabis at her east London school.

Reacting to the report, a Metropolitan police spokesperson told Guardian, “We welcome the report by Dame Rachel de Souza, children’s commissioner, and were pleased to have played a part in her research. We fully acknowledge that we have overused this type of search.

“We have been making significant efforts to ensure the use of this tactic is absolutely appropriate in all circumstances and that our approach puts the child at the heart of decision making, with safeguarding of that child the absolute priority. This has resulted in a considerable reduction in the number of searches being carried out.”

Yorkshire and a number of individuals were charged by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) last year after an investigation into racism allegations made by Rafiq, who said in 2021 that he had been a victim of institutional racism at the club. Rafiq, a player of Pakistani descent who has said English cricket is institutionally racist, alleged that Vaughan told him and other players of Asian origin that there were "too many of you lot, we need to do something about it" before a match in 2009. Vaughan strongly denied the allegation.

The CDC said its panel "was not satisfied on the balance of probabilities" that Vaughan said the words "at the time and in the specific circumstances alleged".

The panel added its findings "do not in any way undermine the wider assertions" made by Rafiq. Vaughan, who played for Yorkshire between 1993 and 2009, was one of seven individuals charged by the ECB with using racist or discriminatory language. He was the only defendant who participated in the CDC hearing.

"It has been both difficult and upsetting to hear about the painful experiences which Azeem described over the past three years," Vaughan said in a statement on social media before the ruling was published. "The dismissal of the specific charge that concerned me takes nothing away from Azeem's own lived experiences... I have never wanted to do anything that runs contrary to genuine efforts to clean up the game of cricket. "I truly hope people can understand why, on a personal level, I could not just accept, or apologise for, something which I know I did not do... At times, this process has brought me to the brink of falling out of love with cricket."

The panel upheld some charges against former Yorkshire players Tim Bresnan, John Blain, Matthew Hoggard, Andrew Gale and Richard Pyrah, all of whom withdrew from the proceedings. Yorkshire and former player Gary Ballance were not required to attend the hearing after accepting their charges. The racism scandal rocked English cricket and led to numerous changes in coaching and administrative personnel at the club.

Yorkshire have admitted documents and data relating to allegations of racism were deleted or lost during the tenure of a previous regime.

London Met Police plagued with institutional racism, sexism & homophobia: Cassey's Report

The people living in Newburyport have asked the City Council to replace the state flag and seal of Massachusetts, stating that the imagery used promotes the racist history of the state, according to a Fox News report.

As reported by Newburyport Daily News, a resolution was sent to the council on February 27 that asked them to support the Special Commission Relative to the Seal and Motto of the Commonwealth's work.

The commission had recommended that the flag and seal must be replaced to reflect Massachusetts' diverse residents. The resolution was referred on the same day to the General Government Committee in a 9-2 vote.

The resolution was pushed by Marianna Vesey and Linda Lu Burciaga, residents of Newburyport, who claim that the change has already been adopted by 55 other municipalities.

Vesey and Burciaga added that the resolution is being considered by dozens of other municipalities.

Vesey stated that the state seal appears to support the idea that white people are "in charge of this world and that “we have to subdue the Native American people" through a "colonising and violent depiction".

"One of the reasons that we can ignore this so easily is that our White supremacy culture has really allowed for the disappearance of the Native American world. We’re really trying to say that they are not gone. They are here among us, and we really need to not only recognise that but honour it," she stated.

Burciaga, meanwhile, said that the state flag and seal appear "problematic”. He added that the seal and the flag depict a colonial sword being grasped by a white hand over the head of a Native American person.

Charges were brought against Yorkshire and seven individuals over allegations of racism at the club, and the handling of those allegations, with Rafiq saying he was now a step nearer to "closure".

Yorkshire racism hearing: ECB sets out case against Hoggard, Bresnan

Hundreds of newspapers across the United States said they will stop publishing the cartoon “Dilbert” after its creator Scott Adams went on what is being described as a racist rant on Youtube, last week. This comes after he called Black Americans a “hate group” and suggested that White people should “to get the hell away from Black people.” The comments were made in response to a poll conducted by a conservative organization’s poll which supposedly showed that many African Americans do not think it’s OK to be white.

“Dilbert” is a popular comic in the US which mocks the office and workplace culture. The once-popular comic strip that was launched in 1989 will no longer be carried by multiple media outlets, in light of these remarks, the newspapers announced in statements on Friday and Saturday. Some of the newspapers include The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and so on.

Additionally, distributor Andrews McMeel Universal, on Sunday (February 26) also announced that they are "severing" ties with Adams over his recent comments. In a joint statement, company Chairman Hugh Andrews and CEO and President Andy Sareyan said while the company values free speech but it will "never support any commentary rooted in discrimination or hate". It added, "Recent comments by Scott Adams regarding race and race relations do not align with our core values as a company".

“If nearly half of all Blacks are not OK with white people - according to this poll, not according to me, according to this poll - that’s a hate group”, said the creator on his Youtube show ‘Real Coffee with Scott Adams’, on Wednesday.

He added, “I don’t want to have anything to do with them…And I would say, based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to White people is to get the hell away from Black people, just get the f**k away”.

The video began with Adams talking about Republican Vivek Ramaswamy’s presidential bid and minutes later, citing the results of a recent public opinion poll, conducted by Rasmussen Reports, which is said to be a conservative firm. The group reportedly surveyed thousands of Americans via telephone and online with the question, “Do you agree or disagree with this statement, ‘It's OK to be white’?”

According to the poll, 53 per cent of Black Americans agreed with the statement, “It’s OK to be White.” However, it has been noted that the phrase “It's OK to be white” has been used on right-wing websites and speeches which the Anti-Defamation League has also denounced as a hate chant. The organisation has also noted that the phrase emerged on the infamous message board 4chan six years ago as a trolling campaign which has a history in the white supremacist movement.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was left flabbergasted by a journalist's question during a press conference on the eve of his side's round-of-16 match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was left flabbergasted by a journalist's question during a press conference on the eve of his side's round-of-16 match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Klopp was fielding questions when one reporter asked if Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior brought the abuse upon himself due to his 'provocative' action sometimes 'that creates some reaction’. A bemused Klopp heard the question intently before answering, "What is the question? That he [Vinicius] is doing something on the pitch that could cause it?" "There is nothing in the world that could justify that. Imagine if I say yes? That would be completely insane," said Klopp. Read more: Liverpool vs Real Madrid: Live Streaming, Playing XI details of UEFA Champions League Liverpool vs Real Madrid The German manager heaped praises on Vini Jr. by adding, "He's a world-class player. He's already a Real Madrid legend at a very young age." "He was in that night [Champions League final] at a young age, but he scored in the decisive moment and I am pretty sure that makes him already a Real Madrid legend." Notably, Vinicius Junior has been subject to racist chants and abuse on several occasions throughout his relatively short playing career. Earlier this month, during a La Liga game against Mallorca, the opposition fans hurled racist abuse towards the Brazilian. Meanwhile, the Atletico Madrid fans hung a mannequin wearing Vini's jersey on a bridge outside Madrid's training ground last month. A UK-based whistleblower has revealed children seeking asylum being subjected to racial abuse and assault at a Home Office-run hotel, calling on the British government to act immediately, reports the Guardian newspaper. According to reports, the whistleblower, who worked at the hotel in Brighton for over a year, scores of children who arrived in the UK without parents or a carer suffered “emotional abuse” and were later driven onto the streets and joined criminal gangs.

The revelation comes a week after an investigation by the Observer newspaper revealed that dozens of youngsters were kidnapped by gangs from the same hotel, prompting calls for a public inquiry. The report said that more than 200 children are missing from the hotels managed by the Home Office.

A week after the report, another whistleblower came forward and claimed that some more children in the Brighton hotel are being threatened.

“I heard staff threatening to throw children out of the window and joking about them going missing,” the whistleblower told the Observer.

He further said that despite flagging the inappropriate staff behaviour, no action was taken by the Brighton hotel, one of seven run by the Home Office.

“There was a lot of xenophobic stuff, like: ‘Fuck off back to your country.’ Somebody heard one senior staff member calling a child a ‘fucking terrorist’.”

He added that staff would regularly talk about children being abducted from nearby streets and that the targeting of youngsters was common knowledge.

The Sussex police have been apprised of the matter and have started investigating a potential trafficking case after three children got into a car outside the Brighton hotel.

According to reports, the car was driven towards London before police intercepted it. However, Home Office sources maintained they have no evidence of children being kidnapped, reports Guardian.

Responding to these reports, a Home Office spokesperson denied that the children are being kidnapped.

“We have not received any complaints in relation to these claims. The wellbeing of children in our care is an absolute priority. Robust safeguards are in place to ensure they are safe and supported as we seek urgent placements with a local authority. When issues do arise, we take complaints extremely seriously and they are acted upon quickly.”

“In October, the independent immigration watchdog found young people in hotel accommodation unanimously reported feeling safe, happy and treated with respect,” the spokesperson was quoted as saying by the Guardian.

Some believe that racism doesn't exist, but it does. An annual state report released on Tuesday proved the belief wrong. The report showed that in California, law enforcement action by police was nearly twice on Black people than Whites. The report found that California law enforcement searched Black teenagers almost six times more than white teens during vehicle and pedestrian stops, AP reported.

The annual report was released by California's Racial and Identity Profiling Advisory Board, which focuses on police brutality and racial injustice in the US.

The report said, "The data show that racial and identity disparities persist year after year. The Board remains committed to analysing and highlighting these disparities to compel evidence-driven strategies for reforming policing and eliminating racial and identity profiling in California."

US: California police more likely to use force against Black people, claims report

Usman Khawaja is a veteran of 103 internationals (54 Tests, 40 ODIs and nine T20Is) for Team Australia. The left-hander has been part of Australia's 2019 ODI World Cup campaign and is also involved in their ongoing home series versus South Africa. Ahead of Australia's second and penultimate Test versus the Proteas, which is currently underway at the iconic MCG, Melbourne, Khawaja made a glaring claim. The left-hander, who is of Asian descent being born in Pakistan, shifted to Australia at a young age with his family members and has played all his cricket for the Aussies. However, he revealed that he has often been stopped and questioned by security three times at a hotel despite being in the national jersey.

Khawaja took to his official Twitter handle and recalled the times being stopped by hotel security staff after a journalist shared his experience on the social media platform. The 36-year-old veteran wrote, "You get use to it. I got stopped 3 times last year at our hotel, while in Australian Kit and asked if I was with the Australian Cricket team... #youdontlookaustralian #orsotheysay"

A 69-year-old was arrested for killing three and injuring four at a Kurdish cultural centre in central Paris. Though ruled as a terrorist plot, the attack is being viewed with possible racist underpinnings.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin told journalists at the scene, “He (the suspect) clearly wanted to take it out on foreigners.”

“For now, no elements can allow us to know if the attack is specifically targeting Kurdish people,” he added.

The attacker, identified as "William M" by French media, is a retired train driver and has a criminal record with a history of racist violence and weapons offences.

Last year, he was arrested for stabbing at least two migrants with a sword in a Paris camp, police and judicial sources told AFP.

In June 2016, he was involved in armed violence and was subsequently convicted by a court in the northeastern suburb of Seine-Saint.

Prosecutor Laure Beccuau informed that Friday’s attack was motivated by racism and the investigations will be undertaken with that aspect.

Govt under fire

Meanwhile, questions are being raised against the French authorities as to why the suspect, who has a history of violence, was let out on parole.

The opposition parties are accusing President Emmanuel Macron of failing to take far-right threats seriously enough.

"The far-right appears to have struck again. With deadly consequences," senior hard-left MP Clementine Autain wrote on Twitter. "When will those at the head of the state start taking this terror threat seriously?"

According to media reports, the suspect was released from custody on December 12, while pending trial waits over the migrant tent attack.

Family disowns him

The attacker’s family who spoke to the M6 TV channel described him as a |crazy, idiot”.

"He is crazy, he's an idiot," said his father, according to an audio recording posted online. "He is a taciturn person who doesn't live like normal people do."

According to the 20 Minutes newspaper, William was born in March 1953 in Montreuil, an eastern suburb of Paris

The paper, quoting an anonymous police officer, reported that during the arrest of the attacker he said he “didn't like Kurds".

The Dutch foreign ministry issued an apology on Monday after a study claimed that institutional racism was widespread and that persons of ethnic backgrounds were repeatedly alluded to as "monkeys" and other derogatory terms. Employees of colour frequently felt cold-shouldered and neglected by white colleagues at the ministry, according to the independent research, which was commissioned in the aftermath of the Black Lives Matter movement.

They "were not often subjected to physical assault," according to the report, but they frequently endured "verbal hostility" when they overheard others disparaging others based on their skin colour, religion, or country of origin.

"A number of employees have said that people have been referred to as 'monkeys', 'bokitos', 'negroes' and 'Black Pete' because of their skin colour," the report said.

"African countries have been described by one employee as 'monkey countries.'"

In the Netherlands and Belgium, Black Pete, also known as Zwarte Piet, is a blackface holiday figure that usually goes with Saint Nicholas, whereas Bokito was a gorilla that escaped from the Rotterdam Zoo in 2007 and went on the rampage.

"Unfortunately, recent events meant that we were forced to temporarily cease many of our operations to ensure the safety of our service users and our team."

"We are overwhelmed by the amount of support and encouragement and look forward to fully reinstating our services as soon as safely possible."

As per reports, Lady Hussey is even ready to make a personal apology to the organisation’s founder.

Earlier, Buckingham Palace in a statement condemned the "unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments" and said that all staff were "being reminded of the diversity and inclusivity policies which they are required to uphold at all times".

Racism poses a public health threat to millions of people worldwide as it continues to be a "profound" and "insidious" driver of health inequalities, according to a global review published in the Lancet. The review published suggests that health researchers and policymakers globally have ended up overlooking racism, xenophobia and discrimination as "fundamental influences" on public health.

The review says that Homo sapiens (modern-day human beings) are one of the most homogeneous species on Earth, more genetically similar than any other primate. "We cannot be divided into subspecies or breeds. It has become clearer over time that human genetic and physiological variation maps poorly onto the construct of racial categories," it argues against structural racism in global health.

Gone are the days when racial profiling was a thing...at least that is how it should be. However, a recent report has revealed that a Chinese security company has been advertising a controversial feature: Ethnicity recognition.

Hikvision has reportedly been touting this feature to its customers in the United Kingdom and other European countries. This is even as the company already faces a ban in the UK over its involvement in ethnic cleansing in the Chinese province of Xinjiang.

The company was also placed on the US blacklist back in 2019, over allegations of human rights violations, and surveillance of Uyghurs in Xinjiang.

As per a Guardian report, in a brochure on its website the company advertised a range of features like “optional Demographic Profiling Facial analysis algorithms”, including “gender, race/ethnicity, age” profiling. This was allegedly in collaboration with UK startup FaiceTech.

However, FaiceTech denied ever having worked with Hikvision and said that the document was created without its knowledge and consent. It also sent a legal letter to Hikvision, demanding they remove the brochure since it can deceive the public "that our client (FaiceTech) is in some way associated with Hikvision".

Reportedly, the Hikvision website also cited a second, Italian-based company offering racial profiling in a post that has since been removed.

Guardian reports that the racial profiling posts were removed following an inquiry by the publication and the company said that the technology was never even sold in the UK.

It further claimed that the brochure in question merely details the "potential application of our cameras, with technology built independently by FaiceTech and other partners."

The brochures were reportedly first discovered by Big Brother Watch, a campaign group. The group's legal and policy officer, Madeleine Stone said that "Hikvision’s surveillance products pose a real threat to rights and security. The government must act now to ban this rights-abusing technology."

She also said that such "intrusive surveillance capabilities" have no place in a democracy.

The group's legal and policy officer, Madeleine Stone said that "Hikvision’s surveillance products pose a real threat to rights and security. The government must act now to ban this rights-abusing technology." She also said that such "intrusive surveillance capabilities" have no place in a democracy. UK: Misogyny and racism rampant at fire brigade

London Fire Brigade (LFB) has been termed 'institutionally misogynist' and 'racist' after a review conducted into the working culture of the force revealed a grim picture.

Nazir Afzal, the former chief Crown prosecutor for north-west England conducted the review and found that 'toxic culture' festered within the LFB which gave rise to bullying and abuse.

"We've heard example after example about women who were harassed or sexually assaulted - constant sexual taunting to the point that I am now saying that the London Fire Brigade is institutionally misogynist," Afzal was quoted as saying by BBC.

The report clearly showed that people of colour coming from ethnically diverse backgrounds were more often than not, the target of racial abuse and bullying. They were also less likely to be promoted and be unrepresented at the senior levels.

A Muslim firefighter in the brigade was troubled and bullied to the extent that he had to be admitted to a hospital. He has since been diagnosed with Post-Trauma Stress Disorder (PTSD) and has had suicidal thoughts.

According to the review, the said Muslim man was ridiculed for his Indian accent. On different occasions, a piece of Bacon and a slice of pork was put in the victim's sandwich and pocket respectively.
