<p>Monika Biernacki, founder of Monika's Doggie Rescue a no-kill shelter in Sydney's northern suburbs said that she has never seen something like this in her 20 years of animal rescue.</p>

<p>According to Stephen Albin, CEO of the New South Wales Animal Welfare Society, many people who purchased pets as lockdown companions are now realising the responsibilities they bring.</p>

<p>"I think quite a few people just wanted companionship so they went and got a pet, they got a companion, but they didn't quite understand what it takes to keep a pet," he remarked.</p>

<p>“Our results demonstrate low dinosaur biodiversity during the last two million years of the Cretaceous, and those data indicate a decline in dinosaur biodiversity millions of years before the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary," wrote the authors.</p>

<p>Eagle-eyed Irishman Eoin O'Fagan claims to have captured two clips of "giant eel-like shapes" moving on the surface of the loch's water.</p>

<p>Talking to Daily Record O'Fagan confirmed that he has captured "two very interesting" video clips using the newly installed cameras.</p>

<p>In a conversation with the BBC, a behavioural ecologist and evolutionary anthropologist Dr Barbara Fruth said that sometimes when Bonobos catch large prey, and the meal is too big, the ape does not immediately kill all its victims. Instead, they keep some of their prey alive as pets. Usually, these prey are eaten later.</p>

<p>Dr Fruth,&nbsp;who is the head of the LuiKotale Bonobo Project, and has been researching these animals for more than 20 years, thinks that this is most likely what was happening when the image was taken.</p>

Sivakumar had sought to have the decision overturned. Granting his request, the Madras High Court observed that removing the jewellery holds significance of its own.</p>

<p>The petitioners now ex-wife was examined during the proceedings and she admitted that while she and Sivakumar were separated she removed her thali and kept it in her bank locker.</p>

<p>Citing Section 7 of the Hindu Marriage Act, her attorney argued that thali is not required for marriage&nbsp;and that, even if their client removed it,&nbsp;the wife's removal of the thali would not have any effect on the marital bond.</p>

<p>It cited orders of a division bench of the High Court, which stated that "It was a known fact that no Hindu married woman would remove the thali at any point of time during the lifetime of her husband."</p>

<p>Since the judgement came to light, it has taken the Internet by storm and people have been quick to point out that being married and wearing a piece of jewellery have no real intrinsic connection. Some even compared it to tying a rope around a cow's neck.</p>

A video of the dramatic rescue is doing the rounds on the internet and people are obsessed, rightfully so. As per an AFP report, the incident is from the Nakhon Nayok province of Thailand. The mother-baby elephant duo were reportedly travelling through the jungle with their herd when the baby tumbled into a manhole. While the rest of the herd kept moving, the baby elephant's distressed mother remained rooted to the spot.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, upon being given the tranquiliser, the mother elephant too tumbled into the hole, though only partially. She then had to be lifted out with the help of a digger. She had to be administered CPR, however, the reason behind this remains a bit unclear. In the video multiple people can be seen jumping on her chest, putting pressure there so as to revive her.</p>

<p>There have been a lot of negative reactions to the video, people were quick to point out the parent's reckless endangerment of his child. As one comment pointed out "What!? No, how could you think that? How could they have know that a wild animal was going to act like a wild animal".</p>

<p>Others compared the incident to that of Harambe, a gorilla at the Cincinnati zoo who was shot and killed after a three-year-old boy climbed into his enclosure. Fearing the child's safety a zoo worker killed Harambe.</p>

<p>"What sucks is that the kids are innocent, young, and didn't know better. The parents will call the animals "vicious," and the animal will probably get put down. Kid gets used for social media clout and lawsuit money. Animal gets Harambe'd."</p>

<p>A group of people while on a guided tour of Kyrgyzstan's mountains had a very lucky escape. The group of ten, which had nine Britons and one American escaped an avalanche and they have the footage to prove it. The incident took place in the wildly beautiful Tian Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan. Harry Shimmin, one of the people on the lucky trekking group has uploaded a video of the whole incident on Instagram, in which their narrow escape from death. The video has left people flabbergasted, with its intensity, and in just a few hours it has already gained more than 3,45,000 views and 37.5 thousand likes.</p>

<p>Taking to Instagram, Shimmin writes an account of the incident. He wrote, that as the group was venturing onto the mountain slopes Shimmin had "separated from the group to take pictures on top of a hill/cliff edge," when he heard “the sound of deep ice cracking behind me”.</p>

<p>He then proceeded to hide behind a rock for shelter, but even there, protected from the avalanche, he was scared. Describing the jarring moment he writes:&nbsp;"When the snow started coming over and it got dark / harder to breath, I was bricking it and thought I might die."</p>

<p>Thankfully the whole group survived. One of the group members had "cut her knee quite badly", while another had some bruising from falling off of a horse. But other than that, the group survived the harrowing incident almost unscathed.</p>

<p>"The whole group was laughing and crying, happy to be alive (including the girl who cut her knee). It was only later we realised just how lucky we’d been. If we had walked 5 minutes further on our trek, we would all be dead."</p>

<p>Talking to KTLA, Hanks explained that this started as a joke. She said that traditionally corpse water is used in witchcraft practices, but that what she's selling isn't really corpse water.</p>

<p>The group told how a determined mama bear had opted to spend the winter in the crawlspace beneath a nearby house. She had three of her own pups and an adopted orphan.</p>

<p>“When it came time to go to sleep for the winter she found a house with an unsecured crawl space opening and ushered all the kids inside and told them to Be Quiet and Go to Sleep.”</p>
