<p>The judgment found Kawshigan had an "ulterior motive of vexing or oppressing the defendant|, and the case was just a "calculated attempt to compel engagement" from Tan, according to the Guardian.</p>

<p>Tan met Kawshigan in 2016, and problems began to arise in 2020 when they became “misaligned” about how they saw their relationship.</p>

<p>“While the defendant only regarded the claimant as a ‘friend’, he considered her to be his ‘closest friend’,” the court papers said.</p>

<p>According to the judgement, the woman sought their interactions to be reduced, which caused displeasure to the claimant, who felt this would constitute “taking a step back in their relationship”.</p>

<p>The woman emphasised the need for boundaries and urged him to be “self-reliant”.</p>

<p>The latest lawsuit was initiated in July 2022, in which the man is claiming damages “for allegedly defamatory remarks and negligent conduct”.</p>

<p>Then the girl’s father, Vikas, came to Delhi to check on his daughter. But found her flat locked, following which he filed a missing person complaint with the police, detailing her daughter’s boyfriend.</p>

<p>An office party turned into a tragedy after a 30-year-old man fell victim to a brawl that broke out at a bar in India’s northern Uttar Pradesh state.</p>

<p>The incident took place on Monday night when a group of people was attending an office party at&nbsp;Noida city’s Gardens Galleria Mall, around 40 kilometres from Delhi.</p>

<p>According to reports, it all began when an argument ensued around 11 pm between the group and the staff over bill payment.</p>

<p>The argument turned into a minor scuffle following which bouncers were brought in.</p>

<p>But it only made the matter worse, as a fistfight now ensued between the group and the bouncers, during which the victim, Brajesh Rai, received fatal injuries on his head.</p>

<p>He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but the doctors couldn’t save him as he was declared brought dead by the doctor.</p>

<p>After the Noida police were informed, a case was filed under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code and an investigation had been launched.</p>

<p>The police have taken eight people into custody after they analysed the CCTV footage, according to media reports.</p>

<p>“A man was killed last night in Garden Galleria Mall, Noida. Some people got into a fight with bar staff during which one person was severely injured. He was taken to hospital, where doctors declared him dead. FIR registered; bar staff is taken into custody,” news agency&nbsp;ANI&nbsp;quoted Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Ranvijay Singh as saying.</p>

<p>Rai was a resident of Bihar’s Hasanpura village and had been staying in Noida for many years.</p>

35-year-old Indian man held for duping woman in bringing back stranded daughter from Ukraine

<p>A Marine Corps reservist who was charged with entering the Capitol during the riot on Jan. 6, 2021, is now accused of conspiring with a nurse to steal, forge and distribute hundreds of fraudulent coronavirus vaccination cards, prosecutors said Thursday.</p>

<p>The reservist, Jia Liu, 26, of the New York City borough of Queens, and the nurse, Steven Rodriguez, 27, of Long Beach, New York, plotted to distribute the fraudulent vaccination cards to people who were not vaccinated, including Marine reservists who were trying to evade the Pentagon’s vaccine requirement for members of the military, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>Michael Driscoll, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s New York field office, said the scheme resulted in more than 300 stolen or false vaccination cards circulating through the community as well as the destruction of “multiple doses” of the coronavirus vaccine.</p>

<p>Liu and Rodriguez were arrested Thursday morning and charged in an indictment with one count of conspiring to defraud the US&nbsp;Department of Health and Human Services and one count of conspiring to commit forgery, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>Liu was also charged with one count of conspiring to defraud the Defense Department for providing fraudulent vaccination cards to Marine reservists, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>“By deliberately distributing fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination cards to the unvaccinated, the defendants put military and other communities at risk of contracting a virus that has already claimed nearly 1 million lives in this country,” Breon Peace, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said in a statement.</p>

<p>“The charges are disturbing, obviously,” Gary Farrell, a lawyer for Rodriguez, said in an email. “This young man has no prior record and has a good family, which is why he was released on an unsecured signature bond with the consent of the government.”</p>

<p>Prosecutors said the scheme lasted from at least March until this month and offered buyers blank vaccination cards, or completed vaccination cards with falsified information.</p>

<p>Buyers could also be entered into immunisation databases, which allowed them to receive the Excelsior Pass, which displays a user’s vaccination status in a digital app, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>As part of the scheme, Liu bought blank vaccination cards from Rodriguez and then forged and distributed them for a profit, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>Liu also directed buyers to meet Rodriguez at his clinic in Hempstead, New York, which was not identified in court records, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>At the clinic, Rodriguez would destroy a vial of the vaccine, and then record the dose on a vaccination card as if he had administered it to the buyer, prosecutors said. He would then enter the information into immunization databases, falsely indicating that the buyer had been vaccinated, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>Both men promoted the scheme on encrypted messaging apps and on social media, using code names for the vaccination cards such as “gift cards,” “Cardi Bs,” “Christmas cards” and “Pokemon cards.”</p>

<p>Liu was already facing charges in connection with the riot on Jan. 6, 2021, when a mob of Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol and attacked police officers as Congress was seeking to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election.</p>

<p>A middle-aged man was stoned to death by a mob in a village of Khanewal district in Pakistan’s Punjab province for allegedly desecrating the Quran. Hundreds of locals gathered in Jungle Dera village after Maghrib prayers after there were reports that a man had torn and set fire some pages of the Quran.</p>

<p>The corpse of the innocent man was later hung on the tree.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to a report by Dawn, the man was claiming innocence but nobody listened to him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The eyewitnesses have claimed that a team of police had arrived way&nbsp;before the stoning took place. They had caught the culprit, but the crowd seized him from SHO’s custody.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This is not the first incident of mob lynching in Pakistan. Earlier in December, a frenzied mob tortured a Sri Lankan man to death and then burnt his body in public allegedly over blasphemy accusations. The incident took place on Wazirabad Road in Sialkot, where reportedly the workers of private factories attacked the export manager, a Sri Lankan national, of a factory and burnt his body after killing him, the Dawn reported.</p>

<p>Hundreds of men, enraged over the "blasphemy" incident, started gathering outside the factory from adjoining areas. Most of them were activists and supporters of the TLP.</p>

<p>"The mob dragged the suspect (the Sri Lankan national) from the factory and severely tortured him. After he succumbed to his wounds, the mob burnt his body before police reached there," the official said.</p>

<p>As per figures provided by the Centre for Research and Security Studies, Pakistan reported a total of 1,415 cases of blasphemy in the country since 1947.</p>

<p>Fierro bought a Mega Millions ticket online and added $1 to turn it into a Megaplier ticket. So, when all five white balls matched his number on January 18,&nbsp;the prize money wasn’t $1 million as it had quadrupled to become $4 million. &nbsp;</p>
