“As a parent, it feels really bad. He is only 23. I don’t want to say much about trolls. You can’t shut everyone’s mouth. Without fans, there is no game. Further questioning the credentials of those hiding behind their social media accounts and abusing players, Gavaskar said players should avoid letting the unwarranted criticism get to their heads. The former India captain believes a player should take note if a former cricketer says something nasty about them but ignore the trolls.

“I actually don't even know why people take all these people who are commenting adversely seriously. Who are they? If a former player or a fellow player actually says something nasty, something critical, then you take note. You can't ignore that because that person has had the experience of having played the game," said Gavaskar.

“Never really paid attention to these things (answering the critics). I have played for 14 years and it doesn’t happen by chance. My job is to work hard on my game, something that I am keen to do, keen to improve for my team and that’s something that I am going to continue to do so,” Kohli said.

Rohit admitted India lost quick wickets in the middle but insisted the team is ready to accept some results not going in their favour when playing with an aggressive approach. It was Kohli's second successive fifty in the ongoing Asia Cup after his 59-run-knock against Hong Kong in the last game. Praising Kohli for his form, Rohit said he has been brilliant so far in the tournament and batted with great tempo against Pakistan.

Akhar further backed Kohli to break Tendulkar's record of scoring 100 centuries in international cricket. Tendulkar holds the record for smashing the most number of centuries in international cricket and is the only man in the history of the sport to reach the 100 centuries mark.

He eventually perished after getting run out of the 4th ball while trying to steal a double to finish with 60 off 44 balls laced with 4 fours and a solitary six. With his 60-run-knock against Babar Azam &amp; Co., Kohli pipped Indian skipper Rohit to achieve a major milestone in T20Is.

Kohli now has the most number of fifty-plus scores in the shortest format of the game in men's T20Is. He now has 32 fifty-plus scores in men's T20Is and has gone past Rohit (31). Pakistan captain Babar Azam is at the third spot with 27 fifty-plus scores to his name in T20Is.
