It was a thrilling encounter between the two sides in Mohali as India rode on Sachin Tendulkar's brilliant knock of 85 runs to post 260 runs on the board before bundling out Pakistan for 231 runs to win the game 29 runs and enter the final. Tendulkar got a couple of lifelines during the game and made the most of it to help India out on a strong total on the board.

It was India's second win in the tournament after their 9-0 drubbing of hosts Bangladesh, while Pakistan are still winless, having drawn goal-less against Japan in their opening match.

India had earlier drawn 2-2 against Korea in their tournament opener.

Dubai awaited a hero as did Pakistan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi stepped up to bowl the spell of his career as he tormented India in a matter of just two deliveries. Two deliveries were all it took for the tall and lanky left-arm pacer to completely shift the momentum in Pakistan's favour as the Men in Green sensed an unforeseeable victory. Sehwag took a dig at fans celebrating Pakistan's victory and also aimed a swipe at those urging people to not burst crackers during Diwali but are resorting to burning crackers over a cricket match.

“Firecrackers are banned during Diwali but yesterday in parts of India there were firecrackers to celebrate Pakistan‘s victory. Achha they must have been celebrating victory of cricket. Toh, what’s the harm in fireworks on Diwali," Sehwag wrote in a tweet.&nbsp;
