Eventually, they went from 127/4 to 167 all out, losing six wickets in a matter of 49 runs.</p>

<p>Saumy Pandey was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 24/4 while Musheer Khan got two wickets. There were wickets each for Raj Limbani, Arshin Kulkarni and Priyanshu Moliya.</p>

<p>It was an easy win for India as they reached a 256-run target in 41.3 overs in Pune. They are yet to play entire 50 overs in a match, having won all the matches while chasing. Apart from Virat, Shubman Gill’s fifty also caught the eye as he ended with 53. Jadeja however was the architect in the bowling side as he ended with 38/2 in his 10 overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj were also key to India in the bowling department as they too ended with two wickets each.</p>

<p>India will take on New Zealand on Sunday in Dharamshala where the two unbeaten sides in the tournament will collide to decide the outright league table leader. New Zealand has so far beaten England, Netherlands, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan while India have got the better of Pakistan and Australia in addition.</p>

<p>India famously lost to New Zealand in the 2019 ODI World Cup semifinal while the same result followed in the World Test Championship (WTC) final in 2021. India have not won an ICC trophy since 2013 when they tasted victory in the Champions Trophy.</p>

<p>On the first ball of the 24th over, an away going delivery from Mohammed Siraj saw Hasan flick the ball towards the fine leg. However, the ball did not travel much and went fine in the direction of the wicketkeeper Rahul. The stumper had pulled off a stunner with a low left-hand catch, as he dived to his left. He caught the ball single-handedly to produce a catch of the tournament moment. Hasan would be dismissed for 3 off 13 while Siraj enjoyed his first wicket of the day.</p>

<p>Earlier in the match India had a big injury scare as star all-rounder Hardik Panyda got injured in his first over. He had an awkward fall that resulted in him damaging his ankle and was unable to complete his over. As a consequence, former India skipper Virat Kohli had to be called in to complete the over. This reminded me of the 2003 World Cup when Ashish Nehra got injured while bowling against Namibia.</p>

<p>Pandya was later taken for scans and did not participate in the rest of the Bangladesh batting innings. At the time of writing Bangladesh were 170/4 in 36 overs. Towhid Hridoy (12) and Mushfiqur Rahim (26) were in the middle for Bangladesh as they tried to steady the innings after quick-fire wickets. Earlier they had started on the front foot as Tanzid Hasan (51) and Litton Das (66) stitched a 93-run stand for the opening wicket.</p>
