It was recently dropped from Netflix, BBC iPlayer and BritBox.

Top 5 Hollywood news today: Idris Elba scared of asthma while fighting COVID-19

A day after Idris Elba revealed on Twitter that he had tested positive for coronavirus, the actor interacted with fans live on the social media platform and revealed when he got contracted the disease. Without taking anyone's name, Elba revealed that he felt he had contracted the infection on March 4 at an event in Wembley.

The event had Canadian PM Justin Trudeau's wife Sophie in attendance along with Lewis Hamilton. While Idris never named Sophie in his live chat, the photos from the event show the two posing along with Hamilton.

"It's hard to say when I got the disease or when I contracted COVID-19, it's hard to say when. I will say that I know I've been exposed to it from March 4. That's when the person that came up positive, that was the time I got in contact with that person," the actor said.
"So essentially, I could have been positive from March 4, but it's hard to say when I contracted someone with corona, you can contract it at any time but my known exposure was March 4," the actor further added.

"On Friday, last week, I was told that someone I had been in contact with had tested positive. I am on location about to start filming. The news breaks that this person, who is also in the public eye, has tested positive," Elba recalled.

"We presumed if I had it, she would have it too. As much as I want her to be safe, we calculated that risk and decided to be together. Hope you guys can understand that. I love Sabrina for standing by me and being in that video, it was the most important moment for me," the actor concluded.

Q: How did the idea of a spin-off come about?

Statham: "We did part 8 (where) we had a couple of great moments face to face, and people responded to the animosity and the tension in the room when we were trying to kill each other. We expanded on that and people wanted to see more of it."

We are drawn to see these people overcome the odds."

Q: What was it like working with Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson?

Elba: "It's working with the best in their game ... (They) have been action movies for like 20 years ... I was like a kid in a candy shop watching these guys do that."

Q: Did you do your own stunts?

Elba: "I did a lot of the fighting sequence stunts myself, some of the bike stunts I did myself and that's because (director) David (Leitch) wants to have you in the frame ... We did a lot of training for fitness because he does long takes and we got in there as much as possible."

Q: You wrote a song on your iPad during filming, how did that happen?

Elba: "There's always set up times in between shots ... in that time-space, I always have something to do and it's typically playing FIFA (video games) or making music. And I wrote a song that is in the movie, in the chase sequence."

Q: Is your DJing and music a second career?

Idris Elba pens song for his 'Hobbs & Shaw' villain

As Chris Hemsworth tours for his upcoming film ‘Men In Black: International’, he revealed who he would pick for the next James Bond after Daniel Craig leaves the post.

He said that he would have his bet on the most rumoured name on the list of contenders -- Idris Elba.

In an interview with Variety, he said, “My vote would be Idris [Elba]. I think he’d give it a different sort of swagger, too, and each time someone new comes into the role, I think you’ve got to offer up something different.”

He also spoke about his understanding of the famous Avenger character Thor. He said that he added a comedic streak in the character as after the first two Avengers films and ‘Thor: The Dark World’. He said, “After I’d done Avengers and Thor 2, I did feel a bit trapped,” he said. “I felt like I was typecast by whoever was writing those scripts. I feel like the creators were stuck on where they could take the character and was this all he had to offer? I felt there was so much more we could do."

Chris will next be seen in ‘Men In Black: International’ along with Avengers co-star Tessa Thompson. The film will come out on June 14.

I think he’d give it a different sort of swagger, too, and each time someone new comes into the role, I think you’ve got to offer up something different.” He also spoke about his understanding of the famous Avenger character Thor. I felt there was so much more we could do." Chris will next be seen in ‘Men In Black: International’ along with Avengers co-star Tessa Thompson. The film will come out on June 14. Idris Elba to replace Will Smith in 'Suicide Squad' sequel?

Ever since Daniel Craig announced that the 25th James Bond film will be his last for the franchise, speculations have been rife on who would take over as the next Bond. Among the many names that have been doing the rounds, actor Idris Elba's name has been perhaps the most prominent one.

On Sunday night, at the Golden Globes, Elba just sent those speculations on overdrive as he posted a photo with Craig while attending the awards night.

Elba shared a selfie with Craig on his Instagram story and captioned the photo simply as 'Awks...'.

Elba's fiance, model Sabrina Dhowre, also shared the picture, which shows the actors eyeing each other. Dhowre wrote, "Not to add to the fire but....play nice guys"

This isn't the first time that Elba has addressed the rumours. Last summer, he posted a selfie alongside an obvious nod to 007's iconic line: “The name's Bond, James Bond.” He wrote, “My name's Elba, Idris Elba.”
Apart from Elba, the other names that have been suggested to play the next James Bond include Tom Hiddleston, Helen Mirren, Tom Hardy and others.

Dhowre wrote, "Not to add to the fire but....play nice guys" View this post on Instagram Not to add to the fire but....play nice guys 😂 A post shared by Sabrina Dhowre (@sabrinadhowre) on Jan 6, 2019 at 7:56pm PST × Needless to say, the photo of the two popular actors led to a storm on social media. Idris Elba shares selfie with Daniel Craig at the Golden Globes, sparks off James Bond rumours again

Actor Idris Elba, who James Bond fans are campaigning to be the next person to play 007, was named the sexiest man alive on Monday by People magazine.
The London-born actor, 46, said he didn`t believe it when the magazine told him.

"I was like, `Come on, no way. Really?`" Elba told the celebrity publication. "Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, `Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.` But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise — an ego boost for sure."

One of Britain`s best-known stars, Elba won a Golden Globe for his lead role in BBC television detective series 'Luther', played a Norse god in 'Thor' and appeared in U.S. television series 'The Wire.'

Other actors and singers who have been given the title by the magazine`s editors in recent years include Blake Shelton, Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine, George Clooney and Channing Tatum.

Only two other non-white men - African-American star Denzel Washington in 1996 and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, whose mother is Samoan and whose father is black Canadian, in 2016 - have won the title since People started the feature in 1985.

Elba took to Instagram to thank People magazine for the honour and shared the cover image of the magazine and even reminded fans to vote for the US mid-term elections. "Who'd have thought it! Thank you @people & all the fans for naming me #SexiestManAlive. Don't forget to grab your issue this week, link in bio. I'm honoured & thankful. But what’s even more important is your vote in the midterm elections. Your vote can make a difference!" Elba captioned the image.

It was a nice surprise — an ego boost for sure." One of Britain`s best-known stars, Elba won a Golden Globe for his lead role in BBC television detective series 'Luther', played a Norse god in 'Thor' and appeared in U.S. television series 'The Wire.' Other actors and singers who have been given the title by the magazine`s editors in recent years include Blake Shelton, Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine, George Clooney and Channing Tatum. View this post on Instagram Who'd have thought it!
Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton have been signed for George Miller’s next project called ‘Three Thousand Years of Longing.’ The 73-year-old director who is famous for his work in ‘Mad Max’ is reported to have written the script for the project too.

Not just this, George in addition to scripting and direction, will also produce the film alongside Doug Mitchell.

The fourth instalment of the ‘Mad Max’ franchise, that began in 1979 with Mel Gibson in the lead role, saw a post-apocalypse dystopian Australia where police officer Max Rockatansky battled hardened criminals of the outback. Mel Gibson was replaced by Tom Hardy who was cast opposite Charlize Theron. Charlize started a trend with her role as after her many such female characters were written, an area dominated by male characters.

Idris is currently busy with ‘Fast & Furious’ spin-off ‘Hobbs and Shaw’, that also features Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham and Vanessa Kirby. He is also in final negotiations to join the film adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats from director Tom Hooper.
