<p>"Las Vegas has been amazing for me," Usher, clad in a long black leather jacket, black gloves and dark sunglasses, told a packed press conference on Thursday.</p>

<p>"Having 100 sold-out shows at a residency and to have the next one be the crescendo, which will be the Super Bowl with Apple, is really giving my time here in Las Vegas an incredible button at the end."</p>

<p>Usher is not new to the halftime show stage, having made a spectacular aerial entrance during a cameo in 2011 when the Black Eyed Peas were headlining. But his abiding memory from that night was when he struggled to free himself from the harness that had lowered him to the stage and he hopes Sunday's performance will go a little more smoothly.</p>

<p>"My hand got caught in the wire that was holding me 30 feet in the air and I almost missed my first mark. I was like oh my God, don't let this malfunction cost me to miss something," he said.</p>

<p>"But afterwards it felt so amazing to be in front of that many people and feel the energy. So much so that it made me really passionate about eventually getting this moment."</p>

<p>"It has definitely been a challenge to squeeze 30 years of music into 13 minutes," he said with a laugh.</p>

<p>"I was very mindful of my past, celebrating my present here in Las Vegas, and thinking about where we're headed in the future."</p>

<p>His residency brought Atlanta culture to Las Vegas and although he has a North American tour kicking off in August, Usher said he may not be done with Sin City just yet.</p>

<p>Earlier this week, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan took a jibe at Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar during the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament, making headlines for her comment. Now, a video of the MP apologising to the fellow members of the House for her temperament is going viral on social media.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For those unaware, Bachchan expressed frustration on Monday in Rajya Sabha when a question was skipped during Question Hour, prompting Congress MP Deepender Hooda to protest. Bachchan questioned the reason for skipping the question and voiced her dissatisfaction, stating, "We're not school children," to Chairman Dhankhar.</p>

<p>Seeking to defuse the situation a little later, Dhankhar said he had indicated that question number 18, which had been skipped, would be taken up after the reply to question number 19 was complete.</p>

<p>"It will be taken up in a composed manner (and) try to find a way out. Jaya Bachchan ji is a very senior member and if she has a sentiment, then it is bound to be serious with me," he said.</p>

<p>Shortly after securing three golden gramophones at the 66th Grammys Premiere Ceremony, rapper Killer Mike found himself entangled in an altercation outside the Crypto.com Arena, resulting in a misdemeanour battery charge by the LAPD. The acclaimed artist, real name Michael Render, was subsequently released from police custody after a few hours.</p>

<p>Confirming the news on their official social media handle, LAPD RIO wrote, "The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Michael Render and booked for Misdemeanor Battery 243(A) PC, and is in the process of being released."</p>

<p>Previously, LAPD RIO shared that a male adult was <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/hollywood/news-rapper-killer-mike-wins-three-grammys-escorted-out-of-ceremony-in-handcuffs-687013">detained and handcuffed</a> after a physical altercation that occurred at the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court on Sunday, February 4, at 4 pm. <p>The misdemeanour charge carries potential penalties of up to a $2,000 fine, a six-month prison sentence, or a combination of both, according to California's penal code.</p>

<p>A convicted drug dealer reluctantly testified Monday that Jam Master Jay — known for his anti-drug advocacy as part of the groundbreaking rap group Run-DMC — got involved in cocaine trafficking to pay his bills.</p>

<p>Mullgrav said Jam Master Jay, born Jason Mizell, approached him periodically to sell cocaine that the rap star had acquired — “maybe 1 or 2 kilos, here or there.”</p>

<p>“Jason wasn’t a drug dealer. He just used it to make ends meet,” Mullgrav said.</p>

<p>Two people close to the rap star, godson Karl Jordan Jr. and childhood friend Ronald Washington, are on trial in a case that has offered answers to the long-unsolved loss of a hip-hop legend while raising new questions about his life. Washington, 59, and Jordan, 40, have pleaded not guilty to murder.</p>

<p>Prosecutors have said the two men were going to be cut out of a lucrative transaction, which Mizell was arranging, to distribute 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of cocaine because a dealer — now identified as Mullgrav — wouldn’t work with Washington.</p>

<p>Mullgrav told jurors that Mizell approached him in August 2002 to say he had a line on 10 or so kilograms of cocaine from the Midwest and “was asking me to move it for him” in Baltimore. Mullgrav lived there at the time.</p>

<p>Mizell wanted to put Washington, who’s known as “Tinard,” on the ground in Baltimore, said Mullgrav, who grew up with both men.</p>

<p>“He wanted me to work with Tinard. I told him no,” Mullgrav said, because Washington “was a problem.” Mullgrav said he disliked Washington enough to want to shoot him when he appeared in Baltimore around that time.</p>

<p>Mullgrav spent 12 years in prison on a federal drug conviction before his 2013 release, and he acknowledged in court that he sold cocaine, with 25 or so people working for him.</p>

<p>He testified only after being arrested on a material witness warrant — a procedure that can be used to compel uncooperative witnesses to come to court — and spending seven days behind bars, said Gary Farrell, an attorney who was appointed to represent him.</p>
