US President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed that Iran is in a “state of collapse” and has sought American assistance to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Iran had informed Washington of its internal crisis and was requesting the reopening of the strategic waterway “as soon as possible”.

Donald Trump says the Strait of Hormuz is open, hours later announces it is closed, only to go back on his statement and again say that it is open. His changing stance on the crucial waterway has earned him a new nickname - NACHO, "Not A Chance Hormuz Opens," bestowed by a financial trader, according to Bloomberg columnist Javier Blas. He wrote on X, “We thought we were getting a TACO, ‘Trump Always Chickens Out.’ But so far we are getting a NACHO, ‘Not A Chance Hormuz Opens,’". The US imposed its own blockade on the Strait of Hormuz after talks with Iran failed. Tehran even mocked Trump for blocking something that was already blocked. All his efforts to reopen the strait, which Iran closed soon after the war started on February 28, have failed. He even issued shocking threats to force Iran to remove the blockade. In one post on X, he wrote, "Open the Fuckin' Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell." US President Donald Trump has shared a modified map that renamed the Strait of Hormuz as the "Strait of Trump." This comes after the US president said that negotiations to end the Iran war are now being done remotely, describing ongoing discussions as ‘telephonic’ due to the logistical challenges of long-distance travel. Iran has send a new proposal to the US via Pakistan to end the war. However, it was reported earlier that Trump is unhappy with the proposal and is not likely to accept it. Trump sharing a post naming the Hormuz as “Strait of Trump” is interesting as the US blockade of the key shipping route continues with America claiming that Iran desperately wants it open and Iranian oil infrastructure is collapsing due to the blockade. The Trump administration has hired more than 140 new immigration judges, most of them with no relevant legal experience in the field, according to a report. Among them is Melissa Isaak, an Army veteran and reservist. The temporary judge has been permitted to hear cases immediately, according to the Executive Office for Immigration Review. Isaak has made crude comments about women in the past, and they are now splashed across the social media following her appointment. In one interview, she called them just a "warm, wet hole." She called herself a “divorce attorney for men" at one point and owns her own private practice, which she started in 2009. Before that, she worked at the law firm Brock & Stout in Alabama for two years after graduating in 2007. In 2021, during an interview with pickup artist Anthony Dream Johnson, Isaak claimed that “there are two types of women.” “There are good, solid, valuable women who are major assets to men, if you’re a good woman,” Isaak said. “And then there’s a warm, wet hole.” Her past comments reveal her to be some kind of a messiah for men, as she reportedly also claimed in the past that men suffer from domestic abuse more than women and also attacked the women in the military. She also attended Johnson’s manosphere convention, Make Women Great Again, titled "Divorcing Feminism" and gave a speech. Also Read: Trump wipes off entire science board days before crucial report on US-China race was due - Why it matters

Melissa Isaak calls women “a warm, wet hole”
“If the only thing you have to offer a man is sex, that’s what you are. And guess what? Guess who else has a warm, wet hole? Every other woman out there. What a horrible existence," Isaak said. She said that a “real woman” was meant to “catapult a man.” Isaak asserted that women are "powerful" and should use their energy to propel men. Her categorisation of women has sparked debate over whether she is fit to serve as a federal judge.
Isaak defended a Republican in a minor molestation case
Isaak's non-divorce-related cases include representing Alabama Republican Roy Moore in a defamation suit from a woman who said he molested her when she was 14. She got the case dismissed, though an appeals court recently overturned Moore’s multimillion-dollar win. She was also the defence attorney for three January 6 Capitol rioters, but later withdrew from two of them. She is a pioneer in the "Fathers' Rights" movement in Alabama, describing her firm as "Divorce Attorneys for Men."

Melissa Isaak has been named as a temporary immigration judge by the Trump administration. Her past remarks about women and only being useful for sex in men's lives are going viral. She categorised women based on their role in men's lives.

Donald Trump has fired all 22 members of the National Science Board, and this decision could prove ominous for America. An email sent to them on Friday read, "On behalf of President Donald J. Trump,” their positions were "terminated, effective immediately." No explanation was offered for the decision that has shocked scientists across the country. The evisceration of the entire National Science Board could have serious repercussions on the future of scientific endeavours. However, the sudden move could be a way to make way for people who align more closely with the administration's mindset and goals. A federal grand jury in North Carolina has indicted former FBI Director James Comey over a controversial Instagram post from last year that was alleged by Donald Trump and his allies to be a threat against the president, ABC News reported, citing sources. The indictment marks a renewed attempt by the Department of Justice to pursue legal action against one of Trump’s long-time adversaries. United States President Donald Trump has once again raised question on the integrity of America’s elections, alleging that it is “rigged, stolen, and a laughingstock all over the world." A heavily armed suspect was intercepted by the Secret Service before reaching the main venue, triggering chaos and a high-level security response.

White House Dinner Shooting: Trump Survives Third Major Assassination Attempt in Last Two Years

King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived at the White House, where they were welcomed by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the start of a high-profile state visit. Britain’s monarch met Trump on Monday (April 27) in Washington, marking the beginning of a carefully choreographed diplomatic trip unfolding against tensions between the two allies, particularly over Trump’s stance on the Iran conflict. In warm weather outside the White House South Portico, Charles and Trump exchanged handshakes and brief remarks, though reporters were unable to hear the conversation. First Lady Melania Trump, wearing a primrose yellow suit, greeted the royal couple with kisses on both cheeks. Camilla wore a Cartier brooch featuring the British and US flags, decorated with rubies, emeralds, and diamonds. Trump then escorted Charles inside the White House, briefly touching his arm. The visit includes tea and a planned tour of the White House gardens and beehives, recently redesigned by Melania Trump. The four-day trip was originally intended to celebrate historical ties ahead of the 250th anniversary of US independence from Britain. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the visit would ‘honour the long-standing and special relationship’. Also Read: Gunmen kill 29 in Nigeria attack; 8 children missing after orphanage raid amid rising violence
Watch the video here

However, the diplomatic tone is complicated by growing political friction between Washington and London. Trump has criticized the UK's positions on Iran, immigration, and energy policy, straining relations during the visit. Trump has also referred to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer as "no Churchill", referencing wartime leader Winston Churchill, who popularized the term “special relationship.” The visit is taking place under heightened security following a shooting incident at a Washington event over the weekend, where a suspect accused of attempting to assassinate Trump was later arraigned in court. Despite this, the royal itinerary continues with meetings in the Oval Office, a state dinner, and Charles becoming the first British monarch since Queen Elizabeth II in 1991 to address the US Congress. The tour will later include a visit to New York’s 9/11 memorial before the royals depart for Bermuda. https://www.wionews.com/videos/india-reels-under-heatwave-imd-issues-advisories-amid-rising-temperatures-1777310966646/embed Trump said King Charles’s visit could help improve relations, stating, "He represents his nation like nobody else can do it," during an interview with Fox News. However, tensions remain, with analysts noting the conflict in Iran as the “elephant in the room,” expected to be addressed indirectly during Charles’s congressional speech. The visit also faces minor controversy linked to renewed attention on past political scandals involving figures connected to both governments.

Donald Trump has expressed support for a proposal to rename US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (NICE). In a post on Truth Social, Trump shared a screenshot from X featuring the suggestion: “I want Trump to change ICE to NICE (National Immigration and Customs Enforcement) so the media has to say NICE agents all day everyday.” Responding to the idea, Trump wrote, "GREAT IDEA!!! DO IT. President DJT". The concept was initially promoted by conservative influencer Alyssa Marie, who posted last month: “I want Trump to change ICE to NICE (National Immigration and Customs Enforcement) so the media has to say NICE agents all day everyday.” A White House spokesperson declined further comment, directing inquiries to Trump’s Truth Social post. The administration’s rapid response account on X also amplified the message by sharing a screenshot of the post. The proposal emerges as the Trump administration continues prioritizing border security and enforcement against illegal immigration. Also Read: White House correspondents' dinner shooting: Accused charged with attempt to assassinate Trump

Meanwhile, some Democrats remain critical of ICE. For example, Pramila Jayapal said earlier this month on X: “ICE is not keeping us safe. It's terrorizing our communities, detaining US citizens, and letting people die in custody. Abolish ICE.” The idea has also received backing from conservative voices. Commentator Nick Sortor wrote: “100% agree! Make it happen, @SecMullinDHS!” urging Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin to support the change. Changing the name of a federal agency typically requires congressional approval through legislation that amends its statutory authority. Despite this, the administration has previously explored renaming the Department of Defense to the Department of War without direct congressional authorization. The naming proposal comes amid ongoing political tensions over immigration policy and funding. https://www.wionews.com/videos/iran-and-us-continue-their-quest-for-peace-despite-major-disagreements-1777306482016/embed ICE remains at the center of a congressional funding standoff, with Democrats pushing for reforms following the deaths of two US citizens involving federal authorities earlier this year. Recently, the Senate unanimously passed a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, excluding ICE and Border Patrol. Some House Republicans have opposed the measure, instead advocating for a broader reconciliation bill that would secure funding for the entire department over multiple years. On Thursday, the Senate approved a budget reconciliation framework to fund ICE and Border Patrol for three and a half years, a move seen as a potential step toward resolving the impasse.
