US President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed that Iran is in a “state of collapse” and has sought American assistance to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Iran had informed Washington of its internal crisis and was requesting the reopening of the strategic waterway “as soon as possible”.
