The actor will play the male lead in the film which is a modern-day love story.<br />

The movie will explore the relationships in a family and their involvement during the process of an arranged marriage.<br />
<br />
Ali said he is excited to work with Sarkar, whose last release was "Helicopter Eela", on the project.<br />
<br />
"It's an honour and privilege to work with a veteran director and writer Pradeep dada who has given such powerful and meaningful cinema and has worked with some of the best talents of India cinema,'' said Ali to an agency.<br />
<br />
"... It touches upon some very essential phases of love, relationships, families that are involved in marriage and how important it is that where what these families come from," the actor said in a statement.<br />
<br />
Patralika&nbsp;will be the female&nbsp;lead of the film. The actress' boyfriend, actor Rajkummar Rao took to social media to wish the two actors on their new project.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 59-year-old actor is also joined by Chris O'Dowd.<br />

The film is based on Caitlin Moran's bestselling book of the same name, which is a comedic coming-of-age story set in the 1990s.<br />
<br />
The plot revolves around Beanie Feldstein's Johanna Morrigan, who is a smart, opinionated and overweight teenager.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
With puberty in its full gear, Johanna is desperate to get out of her hometown and make a name for herself.<br />
<br />

<p>Today star kids become a household name much before they enter Bollywood, but that was not the case with newcomer Rohan Mehra.<br />
<br />
Rohan, son of yesteryear actor Vinod Mehra who is looking forward to his debut "Baazaar", says he intended to stay under the radar.<br />
<br />
After his father's death in 1990, Rohan grew up in Mombasa in Kenya with his mother, sister and grandparents.<br />
<br />
The actor says people have started talking about him since the film's trailer released.<br />
<br />
"I feel I am an outsider despite being his son. I don't think I've ever used his name to get an interview or a meeting. Till last year, if I had gone to a Bollywood party, I would've walked and no one would know who I am.<br />
<br />
"No one even knew I existed. They came to know when the trailer came out," he told PTI.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Rohan says he never received any special treatment from anyone in the industry because of which he has "massive respect for the people".<br />
<br />
"The other so-called star kids we speak about, the ones who are spoken about even before their film has released, I wasn't one of those. I was never on the map.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
"This is the way I would've wanted it to be. I've never got anything because of my surname."&nbsp;<br />
<br />
He believes the film industry today welcomes outsiders with open arms. Although he belongs to a film family, Rohan says he had to struggle a lot to bag his first project.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
"Today, there are so many casting agents and production houses doing a wonderful job of backing new talent. I don't think anyone should feel disheartened that they aren't from the industry. I am not and I have struggled too," he adds.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Rohan says initially he was not influenced by cinema but after growing up, he was subconsciously drawn to acting.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
He says, in Kenya, at the time, there was only one cinema hall and no one looked at films as a career.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Rohan was set to become an investment banker after getting degrees in econometrics and mathematics from the UK, till he decided to give acting a shot.&nbsp;</p>

"The place where I grew up, while people around me knew my father was an actor but no one really spoke about it. For them, I was just a normal guy.&nbsp;<br />

"Genetically maybe there is something I have and so I was inclined to acting. But it wasn't that just because my father is an actor so I wanted to be one," he adds.&nbsp;<br />
Rohan is both excited and nervous about "Baazaar". The film also stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Chitrangda Singh.<br />

"I don't know what I would be doing on Friday when the film comes out. I'm already so impatient and nervous. I feel it's all coming true. Now it's up to the people to decide," he says.&nbsp;<br />

Blah was seen exiting a cab a little far off the bridge, the police said. A traffic constable saw him walking on the isolated bridge and questioned him for wondering at such an hour of the night.<br />

He had to step down from his position as his company could not perform well after his name surfaced in allegations.<br />

<p>CINTAA (Cine artists and TV association) announced to include actresses Sawara Bhaskar and Raveena Tandon in the committee to be set up to tackle the&nbsp;issues related to sexual harassment in Bollywood.</p>

<p>In an interview with ANI, General Secretary of CINTAA Sushant Singh said they have sent emails to the concerned people to join the committee.&nbsp;</p>

<p>''Swara Bhaskar approached us, she is a member. She was working on this issue independently, very methodically. When we met her we realized we were on the same page. We are planning to set up a sub-committee which will focus on sexual harassment awareness,'' said Sushant Singh, general secretary of CINTAA.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>"It includes Swara and lawyer Vrinda Grover who will take a session for the industry. PoSH will also pitch in and counselling sessions, awareness workshops and symposiums will be held," Singh added.</p>

<p>CINTAA is taking the issue very seriously and is making equally strict efforts to tackle the problem of sexual harassment.</p>

<p>&nbsp;"We need to define punishment for what one has done. As a trade union, we can only expel such people from associations. But as an industry, we need to think,'' said Singh.<br />

He also said that the committee needs to have strong members and that those found guilty should be boycotted from the industry. "The committee should be so strong that if someone is held guilty, proven wrong or is a repeat offender, no one should employ them. We will be coordinating with producers because they are the employers. We need to create such an atmosphere.''</p>

<p>Aishwarya also shared an opinion on the fatal disease and said, "There are so many myths and misconceptions in our country that it is astonishing to realise and recognize that there are so many people even in this day and age who believe that a disease like cancer could possibly be contagious to us. That's shocking, but to many, it seems that's a fact. ''</p>

<p>The actress further said, "That just boils down to lack of awareness, education, access to information, recognizing what this disease is all about and the step you need to take as simple as early detection.''</p>

<p>"Events such as these have come together to draw attention and raise awareness, increase dialogue, make information more accessible to people and have people coming for their regular check-ups for early detection because that in the course of action is referred to as a baby step, but it is the most important step to a possible cure of the disease when a patient has it,'' said the actress.<br />

&nbsp;She further added, "So, earlier detection gives you a higher chance at a cure and that's a possibility that every person should humanly have a right to access. We hope this early detection of curable cancer in women will be an important component of the cancer control program in India."</p>

<p>"Before there was a belief that you had to have songs," said Hirani, the man behind a string of Bollywood hits including the global sensation '3 Idiots'.</p>

<p>"Now people are completely experimenting with the subject matter," says Hirani.</p>

<p>Even those directors who continue to include songs are also exploring "much darker themes" -- and still enjoying massive box office success, he said.</p>

<p>A case in point is 55-year-old Hirani's latest offering, 'Sanju', which the director has brought to this year's 23rd Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, the largest of its kind in Asia.</p>

<p>'Sanju'&nbsp;is based on the real-life story of the rise and fall of Indian star Sanjay Dutt, who was born into Bollywood royalty but was jailed after being accused of involvement in the Mumbai terror attacks of 1993.</p>

<p>The director admits the project was a risk given the often grim nature of the story, which includes gritty scenes of drug taking and its lead character's descent into depression.</p>

<p>But the strong box office returns have convinced him that audiences want a wider range of options from Hindi language films.</p>

<p>'Sanju'&nbsp;has so far grossed $80 million, placing it third on Bollywood's all-time global earners' list, according to The Times of India newspaper.</p>

<p>"It's very much a human interest story about battling your demons," said Hirani. "It's a very different kind of film that I have done before.</p>

<p>"While I was making it everybody thought it was a mistake."</p>

<p>But Hirani said he was more confident the film might succeed after seeing the reaction of Dutt, who was released from jail in 2016, at a preview screening.</p>

<p>"He saw it three days before its release and I was watching him," said Hirani. "He was crying and after that, he sat at home and drank for three days, so I knew it had worked."&nbsp;</p>

<p>As a director and producer Hirani has reaped box office gold with a diverse range of films, from comedies including '3 Idiots'&nbsp;(2009) and alien-on-earth hit 'PK'&nbsp;(2014), to the sports drama 'Final Round'&nbsp;(2016) and now on to 'Sanju'.</p>

<p>Experts say the Indian film industry is on track for record earnings in 2018, after surpassing last year's $2.1 billion marks by the end of the first quarter.</p>

<p>Across all languages, India now produces more than 1,000 movies a year –- several hundred more than coming out of Hollywood.</p>

<p>Increasingly these films are finding a global audience.</p>

<p>Hirani's '3 Idiots'&nbsp;–- the tale of three friends struggling with the pressures of getting an education -- was a ground-breaker in terms of international box office success, with around $30 million in international takings.</p>

<p>Hirani said Bollywood filmmakers are expanding their own horizons as their audience grows, both domestically and globally.</p>

<p>But the filmmaker stressed he had found no magic wand for making great cinema.</p>

<p>"I don't think there's ever a formula for success in film," said Hirani. "If there was, everyone would share it. I've been fortunate</p>

<p>"I guess one of the principles I work with is making the film for yourself not an audience. At least then one person will like it."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"You can't judge what the world will like," he added. "If you laugh at the jokes you are writing if you can cry at the emotional scenes, then hopefully the audience will too."</p>

Dixit, the frontman for the Raghu Dixit Project, a multilingual folk music band, was accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous woman, whose account was shared by a fellow singer, Chinmayi Sripaada on Twitter.<br />

The woman, who called the musician "among the top predators", said Dixit once molested her at a recording.&nbsp;<br />

"Many years ago, I was called to his studio for a recording and he started talking ill about his wife (like most married men do) His wife is a wonderful human being," said the woman.<br />

"When we got done with an ad-hoc recording, he pulled me closer and asked me to give him a kiss when he was signing my cheque... Later at the door, he tried to carry me and I ran down crying..." the screenshot shared by Sripaada read.<br />

He said he and his wife, with whom he is separated now, were in a bad space at the time and in the discussion with the singer, he did talk about his personal life.<br />

<p>&nbsp;The Maharashtra State Women`s Commission (MSWC) on Tuesday took cognizance of Tanushree Dutta`s allegations against veteran actor Nana Patekar after the former knocked the doors of the women`s body seeking an investigation.</p>

<p>The MSWC has issued notices to Nana Patekar, director Rakesh Sarang&nbsp;and choreographer Ganesh Acharya, among others, directing them to file a reply within 10 days.</p>

<p>The commission has also asked the state police for an update of the investigation over Dutta`s complaint.<br />

&nbsp;The former beauty queen has been asked to appear before the MSWC and record her statement in detail as the earlier statement came through her lawyer.<br />

"We have taken cognizance of Tanushree Dutta`s complaint and have asked her to appear before the commission within 10 days. We have sent notices to people against whom Tanushree has filed a complaint, asking them to appear before us within 10 days," Vijaya Rahatkar of Maharashtra State Commission for Women told ANI.</p>

<p>A directive has been issued to all cine and television associations to form committees for redressal of such complaints.</p>

<p>On Monday, Dutta had demanded an investigation into the investigations her harassment allegations against Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, producer Samee Siddiqui, director Rakesh Sarang, and several Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party workers.</p>

<p>Tanushree has alleged that Patekar misbehaved with her on the sets of the film in 2008.</p>

<p>&nbsp;She accused him of harassing her while shooting for a special dance number in the movie and also stated that Bollywood dance choreographer Ganesh Acharya teamed up against her.<br />

She revealed how before shooting the song, she had clearly mentioned that she will not enact or perform any lewd, vulgar or uncomfortable steps.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Dutta further stated that on the fourth day of the shoot, Patekar`s behavior was inappropriate as he was grabbing her by the arms and pushing her around on the pretext of teaching her some steps.</p>

<p>Dutta complained the same to the authorities, but, new steps were introduced by Acharya, which was intimate and included Patekar touching her inappropriately, she alleged.</p>

<p>&nbsp;The actor further said she was being "forced and pressurized" to do the steps and after she refused, the producer threatened to defame her.</p>

<p>On the way out, her car was brutally attacked but with the help of the police she managed to escape from the spot, the complaint further read.</p>

<p>Dutta stated that she had also lodged a complaint with Cine And TV Artistes` Association (CINTAA) in March 2008.<br />
