<p>With just a few hours left for the release of one of the biggest films of this season-'Veere Di Wedding'- actresses Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania seem to be at ease and quite assured with their film.&nbsp;<br />

“A film is a comedy, romance, action. There is no separate genre for girls only”, said Swara and added, “Such categories are misleading also because our story is about friendship not about a single section of the society."<br />

“I think boys can be friends and share the same vibe, a woman can only share the same vibe and this what we have shown in the film. Instead of labelling it, we should focus more on story, originality and on those parameters our film qualifies.”<br />

The women felt that the society unnecessarily puts labels on women. " Why is the idea of drinking and abusing limited to guys only? Why we can’t we look ahead of the fact that when four women meet, they can also talk in the similar language," said Swara.<br />

'Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar' gets a new release date

<p>In her first ever magazine interview, Janhvi Kapoor opened up about why her mom Sridevi never wanted her to enter the film industry.</p>

<p>Janhvi, who turned cover girl for Vogue India`s June issue, was interviewed by filmmaker and mentor Karan Johar as he is the one launching her in Bollywood with ''Dhadak''.</p>

<p>The 21-year-old told Karan that Sridevi thought she wasn`t thick-skinned enough to survive in movies.</p>

<p>"She never wanted me to be an actress. She was more relaxed about Khushi getting into films. She thought I was naïve, that I wasn`t thick-skinned enough. She wanted us to live a more relaxed life. She loved what she did but you know it was intense," said Janhvi.</p>

<p>When the ''Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'' director asked if she feels a void that she does not have her mother to turn to, Janhvi said, "Of course. I could always be the baby with her. When I`d wake up, the first thing I`d do was ask for her. I`d need her to put me to sleep sometimes and she literally had to feed me.</p>

<p>"She added, "The day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn`t sleep, so I was like, `I need you to come and put me to sleep.` But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head."</p>

<p>Janhvi further talked about how the untimely death of Sridevi has brought the four children of producer Boney&nbsp;Kapoor, Arjun, Anshula, Janhvi, and Khushi - together.</p>

<p>"It`s made us feel safe and secure. I think, even for Papa, it`s a source of comfort. It`s definitely tied us together. We`ve lost mom and I don`t think that`s a loss any of us will ever get over," she said.</p>

<p>"It`s not always easy, but I think the audience is very intelligent and they want new films as they have seen same things so many times over and over again. I think as a young kid or guy, it`s my responsibility to do new kind of films because I think people are starved of it. So that`s what I am trying to do." he added&nbsp;</p>

<p>The actor will be seen in a Superhero form performing a lot of deathly stunts.</p>

<p>When asked about his experience while doing these stunts he said that&nbsp;</p>

<p>"It was very tough but not really because we loved the film and we believe in the film. We believe that people want new and innovative films. It`s a great privilege to get a chance to make those movies, so we have gone out there and done it. Now it`s for the people (to see), so we hope they like it."</p>

<p>'Bhavesh Joshi Superhero'&nbsp;has its concept which says standing up against wrong is never easy but those who do set an example for others&nbsp;</p>

<p>"No... But I think I do it in certain ways in my own life because I am trying to do something through the medium of films. Hopefully, this film turns out to be an important one and I truly believe that no film really changes your life but it definitely plants a seed in your head.</p>

<p>"I think films like `Rang De Basanti` and `Pink` have done it earlier, but what Vikram (Vikramaditya Motwane) has managed to do is that he has managed to tell a very important story in a very entertaining way. I think being part of this film, I have become more aware of things.</p>

<p>"I also think twice before I break the law, not in a big way but in a small way which we feel guilty of doing on a day-to-day basis. So, after watching the film, hopefully, people will resonate with the message of the film."</p>

<p>Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani today said he had offered the part of Sunil Dutt to Aamir Khan for the<a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/entertainment-sanju-trailer-ranbir-kapoor-plays-many-shades-of-sanjay-dutt-in-rajkumar-hiranis-film--140941"> 'Sanju'&nbsp;biopic</a> but the superstar was reluctant to play an older character after 'Dangal'.</p>

<p>Khan recently revealed that he was offered the role of Sunil Dutt in the biopic, but he was more keen to play the lead role, which was already with Ranbir Kapoor.</p>

<p>When asked about this, Hirani said,?"Aamir is a friend and whenever I write a script, I narrate it to him to get a reaction. I had narrated this to him as well, not with the intention of casting him to play any role (but because) he reacts very interestingly to the script. Out of greed, I asked him if he would play Sunil Dutt's role."</p>

<p>The director said Aamir turned down the role but not without giving it some thought.</p>

<p>"He took it seriously and gave it a thought and said let's meet next week. When I met him, he showed me 'Dangal' and said 'I am already playing an older role, if my next film after this is again an older role, people will stop giving me young man's role', which was a valid argument," the director told reporters at the trailer launch of the biopic.</p>

<p>The entire star cast of the film was present at the trailer launch.</p>

<p>Ranbir plays the titular role in 'Sanju'&nbsp;which features Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Sonam Kapoor as one of the girlfriends of Dutt, Dia Mirza as his wife Manyata, Manisha Koirala as his mother Nargis and Vicky Kaushal as his friend.</p>

<p>The movie also features Anushka Sharma, and Hirani revealed that she is actually enacting him and co-writer Abhijat Joshi.</p>

<p>"Anushka is playing the role of me and Abhijat. She is playing a biographer from London who comes here and Sanju wants her to write a book on him but she's reluctant. When he was narrating his story to us, even we were wondering if we should do it or not.</p>

<p>"Sometimes we used to sit with policemen, lawyers, family. We were in two minds whether to do it or not. So she is actually playing us, but not a filmmaker, a biographer," Hirani said.</p>

<p>At the launch, Paresh Rawal revealed that he had once received a birthday letter from Sunil Dutt in 2005 out of the blue and he still has the letter.</p>

<p>"Usually, we discard birthday letters after a while but that particular letter stayed in my drawer. This is a wonderful connection. I think I was meant to play Dutt sahab's role," Rawal said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Koirala, who plays Nargis Dutt, said when her film 'Bombay' had released, Sunil Dutt sent her a letter saying 'You remind me of Nargis Duttji'.</p>

<p>"I really take that as a huge compliment," Koirala said.</p>

<p>The film is scheduled to release on June 29.</p>

<p>Her eldest daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her big-budget Bollywood debut opposite Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter in Dharma Productions' 'Dhadak' which will be released in July.</p>

<p>The photo drew a lot of criticism on social media with most stating that how she showed no remorse for her mother's death.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As&nbsp;Vogue India shared its gorgeous magazine cover on Instagram, a social media user commented on how Janhvi seems to be unaffected by Sridevi's death.</p>

<p>“She literally seems so unaffected by her mom’s death, she just wants the sympathy for her movie. Has all the time for gym looks and Airport and restaurant PR pictures,” she commented.</p>

<p>While some users sided with the comment and further called Janhvi a product of nepotism, the others gave it back to her and called out the user for her insensitivity.</p>

<p>The most prominent one of them was perhaps&nbsp;designer Masaba Gupta, who came to Janhvi's rescue and wrote an elaborate response to the comment. Calling it the “most insensitive thing” she's seen on social media, Masaba lashed out on the trolls with a fitting response.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“How do you or anyone else judge how affected or unaffected she is by anything. I think it’s brilliant that she can keep her head up & finish her film, workout and&nbsp;grab a bite with her friends,” she wrote. Masaba further added, “People need to stop being obsessed with seeing celebrities fall apart & not keep moving forward. She’s just starting out & has had a huge personal loss.”</p>

As Vogue India shared its gorgeous magazine cover on Instagram, a social media user commented on how Janhvi seems to be unaffected by Sridevi's death. “She literally seems so unaffected by her mom’s death, she just wants the sympathy for her movie. Has all the time for gym looks and Airport and restaurant PR pictures,” she commented. While some users sided with the comment and further called Janhvi a product of nepotism, the others gave it back to her and called out the user for her insensitivity. The most prominent one of them was perhaps designer Masaba Gupta, who came to Janhvi's rescue and wrote an elaborate response to the comment. Calling it the “most insensitive thing” she's seen on social media, Masaba lashed out on the trolls with a fitting response. “How do you or anyone else judge how affected or unaffected she is by anything. I think it’s brilliant that she can keep her head up & finish her film, workout and grab a bite with her friends,” she wrote. Masaba further added, “People need to stop being obsessed with seeing celebrities fall apart & not keep moving forward. She’s just starting out & has had a huge personal loss.” This isn't the first time Janhvi has found herself to be the target of trolls. When Janhvi turned 21 on March 6, she was criticised for celebrating her birthday with her cousins as social media felt she should have been grieving at that point in time.

<p>He is a huge admirer of Alia’s work and enjoys watching her on screen.</p>

<p>“When I saw 'Udta Punjab'&nbsp;(2016), I was blown away by her (Alia’s) performance. On the script level, if anybody would have told me that the role is being played by Alia, I would have been like, ‘I don’t know, can’t connect the dots’. But when I saw the film, I felt no one else could play the part the way Alia did. That’s the magic of an actor,” says Vicky, who can’t stop gushing about Alia’s performance.</p>

<p>“The power she holds as a performer can’t be expressed. There is a lot of honesty in her eyes that come across whenever she is playing a particular character. So, when someone like her is your co-star, it helps in many ways,” says Alia's co-star of the film</p>

<p>Vicky shares about the bond that both of them developed while shooting for 'Raazi'&nbsp;and also all the fun time that they had while shooting for the film is something that he would always cherish throughout his life.</p>

<p>When the 30-year-old actor was asked one thing about Alia that not many would know so he would simply laugh&nbsp;and tell. “She is the most accident-prone human being I have ever known. On the set, whenever you hear someone hurting herself, it has to be her. She would keep on banging her knee against the bed or her toe somewhere,” he shares.</p>

<p>He also told about one more funny incident from the sets, Vicky reveals that every time Alia would hold the gun, everyone would get worried.</p>

<p>“There are many instances in the film where she is holding a gun, so every time she was holding one, the person who is in front of the gun is not scared but everybody else used to get worried that she might end up hurting herself. Yes, she would hurt herself just by holding the gun,” he says.</p>

<p>The film is slated for a Diwali 2020 release.</p>

<p>In February this year, filmmaker Karan Johar had announced the project with Varun Dhawan in lead and Shashank believes the genre is still not completely explored in Hindi cinema.</p>

<p>'Baahubali' is an example of a warrior film, it is an Indian film. We have explored that space in Hindi cinema with 'Jodha Akbar', 'Padmaavat' but we have not gone all out.</p>

<p>"The opportunity we are seeking right now is to create something new and be remembered for it. It is a great opportunity to have Karan backing it and Varun ready to go with my vision," Shashank told PTI.</p>

<p>The director credited SS Rajamouli's epic war drama for opening up the market and showing people the potential of Indian cinema.</p>

<p>"We are hoping to create something unique with 'Rannbhoomi'. We hope people like it," he added.</p>

<p>Shashank said in terms of story ideas, Hindi films were no way behind Hollywood movies, but they do lack when it came to special effects.</p>

<p>"They make a film with a budget of 500 million dollars which we are going to make it in ten million dollars. I don't think we are any lesser in terms of thoughts, ideas, stories. A 'Baahubali' shows you can do things intelligently even if it is not of the highest level of animation, it has the highest level of thought. The construction of the film is beautiful and that is where the focus should be," the director said.</p>

<p>"Our animation and technique will improve when more and more countries are able to watch our films and get better recovery," he added.</p>

<p>While there were reports that Sara Ali Khan would be part of this film, Shashank refuted the rumours.</p>

<p>"No one is finalised. The story is in place, work on the screenplay is on. We will get down to casting once we are completely done with writing so that we can give proper narration as opposed to a one-liner."</p>

It’s the quintessential Bollywood movie, which I haven’t done in many years. A lot of them were dramatic and thematic. This one’s going to be out and out entertainment. I’m excited! I haven’t been back to do a movie in two or three years now."<br />

A source close to the film revealed, “She will wrap up promotions for Quantico 3 and her other international commitments by June-end. She will be back to India and begin to shoot for the Ali Abbas Zafar film July onwards. The team plans to shoot a few portions of the film with Salman before PC joins them on the set." On an earlier occasion, talking about Bharat, Priyanka said, "I’ve finished up two films: A Kid Like Jake, which comes out in June. And Isn’t it Romantic?, which comes out Valentine’s Day 2019. I play a spoiled rich woman who is a yoga guru, which is not a thing. [Bharat] is the Indian movie I signed this year. It’s the quintessential Bollywood movie, which I haven’t done in many years. A lot of them were dramatic and thematic. This one’s going to be out and out entertainment. I’m excited! I haven’t been back to do a movie in two or three years now." Bharat is an official adaptation of the Korean film Ode To My Father. It is slated for an Eid 2019 release.

<p>The Government of Pakistan has called for a temporary ban on the exhibition and screening of Indian films during Eid holidays next month.&nbsp</p>

<p>Indian films will be banned from two days before the Eid to until two weeks after the holidays, a notification issued by Pakistan's ministry of information and broadcasting noted.&nbsp</p>

<p>According to the officials, the move is an outcome of the requests received by the Pakistani film exhibitors, distributors and production houses.</p>

<p>"The notification says that the temporary ban is being imposed in order to promote local movies on the festivals, a time when usual than the larger audience is attracted towards cinemas," an official from the Pakistan Film Exhibitors' Association noted.</p>

<p>According to reports, the notification would also be applicable for the Eid-ul-Adha holidays that will fall around late August or September.</p>

<p>Pakistani film producers and artists have been facing stiff completion from the Indian and Hollywood movies. The limited number of screens in the country does not facilitate good business for most distributors and filmmakers in Pakistan.</p>

<p>Eid is also the time when a number of new Pakistani films are usually due for a release.</p>
