On the other hand, Sonakshi Sinha will portray social worker Sunderben Jetha Madhaparya, Sanjay Dutt will be seen as civilian Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari, Rana Daggubati playing Madras regiment lieutenant colonel and Ammy Virk as a fighter pilot.<br />

<p>Prime Minister Modi on Sunday condoled the death of Ajay Devgn's father, Veeru Devgan who served as Bollywood's renowned stunt director. He called his death a "great loss to the industry" in an official letter.</p>

<p>Ajay Devgn shared the letter to his mother Veena Devgan on Twitter.</p>

<p>The letter started with, "I am deeply saddened to learn of the demise of Shri Veeru Devgan who was widely respected for his outstanding work across various domains in the Hindi film industry. This is a great loss for the industry.”</p>

<p>It went on to praise Veeru for his work as a stuntman, action choreographer, director, producer and more. Modi wrote, "This is the sign of a man who completely dedicated himself to his chosen field and hence, kept discovering new ways of contributing to it."</p>

<p>He went on to praise <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/safety-was-veeru-devgans-top-priority-recall-bollwyood-celebrities-222192">Devgan's work as a stuntman</a> "in an era of no visual effects".</p>

<p>"There is something deeply moving about people like Shri Devgan who took great personal risks to enthrall audiences in an era of no 'visual effects', knowing well that the glory of taking those risks would not be credited to them. It is said that great things can be achieved if we do not care who gets the credit but concentrate on doing the best we can," Modi wrote.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Actor-director Satish Kaushik, who had worked with him as an actor and director, was emotional after he returned from the funeral of his 'Veeru paaji'.</p>

<p>"He was such a gentleman. He was a `Punjab ka puttar` in the true sense and had a huge heart. Everyone loved him so much... It was very sad to see him go away today," Satish Kaushik told a news agency.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Actor Anupam Kher called Veeru a "great action director" who always gave top importance to the "safety of actors and his fighter team".</p>

<p>Veeru is best known for directing action sequences for films like 'Himmatwala', 'Mr. India', 'Khatron Ke Khiladi', 'Phool Aur Kaante', 'Dilwale' and 'Laal Badshah'. He had also helmed the 1999 film 'Hindustan Ki Kasam', starring his son Ajay Devgn and megastar Amitabh Bachchan.</p>

The said portions were shot over 40 days across various sets and an outdoor location with a combination of over 10 actors. By the time the allegations came out (in October 2018) the actors in the film including me had already started work on other films. &nbsp;It would be near impossible to get all the dates and combinations of the several actors in the film and attempt a re-shoot with some other actor replacing Mr Nath. It would also have been a huge monetary loss for the producers. &nbsp;Everyone is aware that filmmaking is a collaborative process. The decision to replace Mr Alok Nath could never have been mine alone. In this case, I would have to go with the joint-decision of the entire unit. &nbsp;Not to forget, I could not have brought the entire combination of actors back or put up sets again for a 40-day re-shoot because this would mean doubling the budget, which again wasn't my call to make. &nbsp;It would have to be the call of the makers.
