In his defence, Trump said that West brought along several of his friends uninvited, among which one was Fuentes, who is an outspoken anti-Semite and a white supremacist and whose YouTube channel was suspended permanently over hate speech in 2020. West has not been the only celebrity to have caused an uproar with an anti-Semitic statement of late, another such celebrity is NBA star Kyrie Irving who recently faced suspension and apologised for linking to a movie, which was labelled as anti-Semitic. White supremacist ideology Elon Musk's decision to cut back moderation after he bought Twitter has led to an exacerbation of unease about the spread of hate speech. The Anti-Defamation League published data on Friday which said that there has been a surge of more than 60% in anti-Semitic tweets which are related to Judaism and Jews in the past two weeks after Musk's takeover of Twitter. The rhetoric matches the steady increase in the occurrence of hateful incidents targeted towards Jews. It was discovered by the Anti-Defamation League that reports related to vandalism, harassment and violence against Jews increased drastically, reaching an all-time high, in the United States in 2021. In 2019, the country had to deal with a shocking incident of deadly shootings which targeted synagogues in Pittsburgh and California. After the twin attacks, concerns were reinforced about anti-Semitic hatred becoming a rallying point for resurged white supremacists, who had received encouragement after Trump had failed to condemn their ideology unequivocally. The former president's critics, which include Republican rebels like Liz Cheney, have slammed the party for enabling anti-Semitism and white supremacy under Trump's sway. Biden, who has himself claimed that he decided to run for president after hearing Trump's refusal to denounce a neo-Nazi rally organised in Charlottesville in 2017, has spoken repeatedly against the ideology which he believes "tears at the soul" of the nation. Speaking at a Bolduc town hall event on Sunday, the former Hawaii congresswoman and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate reportedly said that she is “pretty sure” both Biden and Hitler share a “mindset” for justifying authoritarian behaviour, The Daily Beast reported citing audio clip of the event.

“I'm pretty sure they all believe they’re doing what’s best,” Gabbard said.

“Even Hitler thought he was doing what was best for Germany, right? For the German race. In his own mind, he found a way to justify the means to meet his end. So when we have people with that mindset, well, you know we’ve got to do whatever it takes because, as President Biden said in that speech in Philadelphia, that those who supported Trump, those who didn't vote for him are extremists and a threat to our democracy.”

Gabbard was referring to Biden’s Philadelphia speech from September when he spoke of anti-democratic extremism among “Donald Trump and the Republicans.”

In that speech, Biden said that when people voted for Trump "they weren't voting for attacking the Capitol. They weren't voting for overruling the election. They were voting for a philosophy he put forward."

The 41-year-old Indian-origin former lawmaker quit the Democratic Party a few days ago, calling it an “elitist cabal of warmongers”.

In the 30-minute video, she lambasted Biden, saying, “President Biden campaigned on a message of unity, healing the partisan divide bringing the country together. He just gave a big speech saying supporters of President (Donald) Trump are the most extremist group in our country and a threat to our democracy. That’s half the country,” she said.&nbsp;

She had also said that Biden’s foreign policy was at fault as it allowed Russia's military invasion of Ukraine.

Do you know who bought Adolf Hitler's watch? A European Jew

A wristwatch once worn by Adolf Hitler was sold for USD 1.1 million at an auction in the US. The Huber timepiece, which bears a hakenkreuz symbol and has the initials ‘AH’ engraved on it, was sold to an anonymous bidder.

The auction house— Alexander Historical Auctions —that put the watch for bidding had estimated it to fetch anywhere between $2m and $4m, Deutsche Welle reported. It was described as a "World War II relic of historic proportions."

According to the auction house, a French soldier part of a unit of 30 soldiers had taken possession of the watch.&nbsp;The timepiece was then reportedly resold and passed down through several generations until now, BBC quoted the assessment by the auction house.

Apart from the watch, some other articles that once belonged to Hitler were also&nbsp;sold in the auction. These include a dress that belonged to Hitler's wife, Eva Braun, autographed pictures of Nazi officials and a yellow cloth Star of David imprinted with the word "Jude", which is German for Jew.

During the holocaust, the Jewish people were forced by the Nazis to wear the yellow identifiers as armbands or badges, with the intention to isolate and harass them.

However, Jewish leaders condemned the auction that took place this week in Maryland saying that it had little to no historical value.

In an open letter signed by 34 Jewish leaders, the auction was termed "abhorrent". They also demanded that other Nazi items to be taken down from the auction.

These include a dress that belonged to Hitler's wife, Eva Braun, autographed pictures of Nazi officials and a yellow cloth Star of David imprinted with the word "Jude", which is German for Jew. During the holocaust, the Jewish people were forced by the Nazis to wear the yellow identifiers as armbands or badges, with the intention to isolate and harass them. However, Jewish leaders condemned the auction that took place this week in Maryland saying that it had little to no historical value. In an open letter signed by 34 Jewish leaders, the auction was termed "abhorrent". According to the newspaper, Carl Otto von Eicken, a German ear, nose, and throat specialist treated Hitler for 10 years from 1935.

Israel on Monday slammed the comments made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that hinted that Nazi leader Adolf Hitler had Jewish roots.

European Union’s (EU) digital Covid certificates bearing Adolf Hitler’s name and date of birth has been doing the rounds online, raising questions over the safety and efficacy of the vaccine passport system.

Several users found a QR code online on Tuesday, and when they tried to scan with verifications apps, they found that it was a digital Covid certificate with the name ‘Adolf Hitler’ written on it, along with the date of birth stating January 1,1900, according to a report by Russia Today.

It was reported that several versions of the code were shared on tech forums, some with the name capitalised, while others with a different birthday.

According to Italian news agency ANSA, which has quoted sources, some of the keys used to generate the European Green Pass were stolen and distributed on programming networks to create false COVID-19 health certificates.

According to reports, the private key used to verify Hitler’s pass was revoked as of Wednesday, but a Polish user on one tech forum still claimed to be selling working certificates, as did some posters on the so-called ‘dark web.’

The e-commerce giant Amazon has quietly redesigned its app icon after some customers saw a resemblance to Adolf Hitler's infamous moustache in it.

In February, Amazon released an update to its flagship shopping app with a new logo. It dropped its long-time shopping cart image, which had been in place for more than five years, in favour of Amazon’s smiling-face-arrow on a package with a ridged piece of blue tape. Positioned on top of the smile line, it looked a bit like the moustache of German dictator Adolf Hitler, users on Twitter pointed out. After that, the company has updated its app logo again and folded the tape on top of the image.

The new design is very similar, but the adhesive tape strip has been redesigned to look nothing like a moustache.

As reported by Mashable, Amazon would not officially admit that this was the reason behind the redesigning icon.

In a statement to The Verge, the company said it "designed the new icon to spark anticipation, excitement, and joy when customers start their shopping journey on their phone, just as they do when they see our boxes on their doorstep."&nbsp;

Amazon changes app icon after some saw Hitler’s moustache in design

German prosecutors said Friday they have charged a former secretary at a&nbsp;Nazi&nbsp;concentration camp with complicity in the murders of 10,000 people, in the first such case in recent years against a woman.

The 95-year-old accused had worked at the Stutthof camp near what was Danzig, now Gdansk, in then&nbsp;Nazi-occupied Poland.

Prosecutors did not name the woman, but regional broadcaster NDR identified her as Irmgard F., who now lives in an elderly care home in the north of Hamburg.

The suspect "is accused of having assisted those responsible at the camp in the systematic killing of Jewish prisoners, Polish partisans and Soviet Russian prisoners of war in her function as a stenographer and secretary to the camp commander" between June 1943 and April 1945, the prosecutors said in a statement.

The woman, who was a minor at the time of the alleged crimes, is charged with "aiding and abetting murder in more than 10,000 cases" as well as complicity in attempted murder, added prosecutors from the northern city of Itzehoe.

"Given that some inmates survived their stay in the camp despite the hostile conditions, some of the acts has to be assessed judicially as attempted murder," they added.

Investigators had carried out a "very elaborate" investigation including interviewing witnesses now living in the United States and Israel, spokesman for the prosecutor's Peter Mueller-Rakow said.

Historians have also been tasked with evaluating the scope of the accused's job in the camp, as a key question in the case is the "concrete responsibility" she had in the killings, said the spokesman.

It was now up to the court to decide whether to open a case, said Mueller-Rakow, adding that in the view of the prosecutors, the accused is able to stand trial.

Due to her age at the time of the atrocities, she will face a juvenile court.

'Never again'

Germany has been racing to bring to justice surviving&nbsp;Nazi&nbsp;staff after the 2011 conviction of former guard John Demjanjuk on the basis he served as part of the&nbsp;Nazi&nbsp;killing machine set a legal precedent.

Spanish police have found Nazi&nbsp;memorabilia in a warehouse while they were making arrests of three suspected leaders of an international arms ring after it was reported the three were involved in selling guns to drug traffickers.

The&nbsp;Civil Guard force reported on Tuesday that the raid was conducted after a year-long investigation into an increasing gun ring and trafficking. The police raided three locations from where they recovered nearly 160 firearms, 10,000 bullets and almost 1.5 kg of explosives.

While making the raid, the police also found several Nazi artefacts such as portraits of the infamous Adolf Hitler, German military uniforms and several medals too. All the items were displayed in a way as if they were being showcased in a museum.

Polish divers say they have found the wreck of a German World War Two ship which may help solve a decades-old mystery, the whereabouts of the Amber Room, an ornate chamber from a tsarist palace in Russia that was looted by the Nazis.

Decorated with amber and gold, the Amber Room was part of the Catherine Palace near St Petersburg, but was last seen in Koenigsberg, then a Baltic port city in Germany but now the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad.

It was from Koenigsberg that the Karlsruhe steamer set sail in 1945 with a heavy cargo, before being sunk by Soviet warplanes off the coast of Poland.

Divers from the Baltictech group say they have found the wreck of the Karlsruhe.

“We have been looking for the wreckage since last year when we realised there could be the most interesting, undiscovered story lying at the bottom of the Baltic Sea,” diver Tomasz Stachura said in a statement.

“It is practically intact. In its holds, we discovered military vehicles, porcelain and many crates with contents still unknown.”

The Karlsruhe had been taking part in Operation Hannibal, one of the largest sea evacuations in history which helped more than one million German troops and civilians from East Prussia escape the Soviet advance towards the end of World War Two.

Documentation from the time suggests the boat left Koenigsberg in a hurry, with a large cargo and 1,083 people on board.

“All this, put together, stimulates the human imagination. Finding the German steamer and the crates with contents as yet unknown resting on the bottom of the Baltic Sea may be significant for the whole story,” said diver Tomasz Zwara.

The Amber Room was constructed in Prussia and then given to Tsar Peter the Great of Russia in 1716 as a present.

The Germans dismantled it and took it to Koenigsberg during the war where it then disappeared during Allied bombing raids on the city. Many believe it was destroyed. Russian craftsmen have constructed a replica Amber Room in the Catherine Palace.

Polish divers say they have found the wreck of a German World War Two ship which may help solve a decades-old mystery, the whereabouts of the Amber Room, an ornate chamber from a tsarist palace in Russia that was looted by the Nazis. Decorated with amber and gold, the Amber Room was part of the Catherine Palace near St Petersburg, but was last seen in Koenigsberg, then a Baltic port city in Germany but now the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. It was from Koenigsberg that the Karlsruhe steamer set sail in 1945 with a heavy cargo, before being sunk by Soviet warplanes off the coast of Poland. Divers from the Baltictech group say they have found the wreck of the Karlsruhe. “We have been looking for the wreckage since last year when we realised there could be the most interesting, undiscovered story lying at the bottom of the Baltic Sea,” diver Tomasz Stachura said in a statement. “It is practically intact. In its holds, we discovered military vehicles, porcelain and many crates with contents still unknown.” The Karlsruhe had been taking part in Operation Hannibal, one of the largest sea evacuations in history which helped more than one million German troops and civilians from East Prussia escape the Soviet advance towards the end of World War Two. Documentation from the time suggests the boat left Koenigsberg in a hurry, with a large cargo and 1,083 people on board. “All this, put together, stimulates the human imagination. Finding the German steamer and the crates with contents as yet unknown resting on the bottom of the Baltic Sea may be significant for the whole story,” said diver Tomasz Zwara. The Amber Room was constructed in Prussia and then given to Tsar Peter the Great of Russia in 1716 as a present. The Germans dismantled it and took it to Koenigsberg during the war where it then disappeared during Allied bombing raids on the city. Many believe it was destroyed. Russian craftsmen have constructed a replica Amber Room in the Catherine Palace.

Twenty-nine police officers in Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) region have been suspended for sharing pictures of Adolf Hitler and refugees in gas chambers.

NRW Interior Minister Herbert Reul was quoted by BBC as said it was a "disgrace for NRW police".&nbsp;

"This is the worst and most repulsive kind of hate-baiting... Right-wing extremists and neo-Nazis have absolutely no place in the North Rhine-Westphalia police, our police," he added.

The neo-Nazi imagery, including the Swastika was shared in far-right chatrooms.

There were 11 main suspects and a raid involving more than 200 police officers was carried out on 34 police stations and private homes.

Some of the police officials are facing charges of spreading Nazi propaganda while others are being accused of not reporting their colleagues who committed such an act.

Displaying Swastika is considered to be illegal in Germany. The Nazi salute and saying "Heil Hitler" is also banned in public.

In recent decades there has been a relative rise in number of people who sympathise with right wing and extremist elements present in German society decades after defeat of the ideology.

Tracey appealed, and the Fair Work Commission (FWC) ruled earlier this year that he had been unfairly dismissed, paving the way for him to return to work. And in May,&nbsp;BP&nbsp;lost an appeal in the Federal Court against the FWC ruling.

The FWC, on Monday, awarded Tracey A$201,394 to cover lost earnings.

In a statement on Tuesday&nbsp;BP&nbsp;said it was reviewing the FWC decision.

The video, which the company had said it considered "highly offensive and inappropriate", had captions showing&nbsp;Hitler&nbsp;as an unnamed&nbsp;BP&nbsp;manager enraged about&nbsp;workers rejecting a pay deal.

Tracey had posted the video on a Facebook page for&nbsp;BP's refinery employees and shared it with some workmates.

The&nbsp;Australian&nbsp;Workers Union (AWU), which represented Tracey, welcomed the latest FWC decision.

"While it doesn't make up for the completely unnecessary drama and heartache Mr. Tracey has been dragged through, we are satisfied with the Commission's ruling," AWU Western Australia Secretary Brad&nbsp;Gandy&nbsp;said in a statement.

"In addition to winning the appeal and successfully gaining back our member's job, we have now secured the money our member deserves."
