On Wednesday, a Bengaluru Special Court denied suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna's request for anticipatory bail. Revanna is accused of sexually assaulting many women in a sex scandal case.

The bail plea was made by Revanna's attorney but the special court for Elected Representative dismissed it. This comes on the heels of Revanna's speculated return to India.

Official sources told the news agency PTI that Revanna purchased a return ticket to Bengaluru from Munich on May 30.Heis scheduled to arrive in Bengaluru in the early hours of May 31.

Prajwal Revanna is expected to arrive at Kempegowda International Airport and the SIT will most likely arrest him the moment he lands.

Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of JD(S) leader HD Deve Gowda is facing charges in an alleged rape and sexual harassment case involving a 47-year-old house help. He is still at large, having reportedly fled toGermany on April 27, a day after the Hassan Lok Sabha segment went to elections.

After an application by the SIT, the Special Court for Elected Representatives on May 18 issued an arrest warrant for Prajwal Revanna. Prajwal's father, JD(S) MLA HD Revanna was detained by the Special Investigation Team for allegedly kidnapping the woman his son harassed.

Bhavani Revanna, the mother of Prajwal Revanna, has filed a plea for anticipatory bail at the special court for elected representatives as she fears being arrested in connection with her husband's kidnapping case.

In addition to requesting the cancellation of the interim anticipatory bail granted to HD Revanna in the same case, the SIT filed objections to the anticipatory bail being granted to her. The anticipatory bail order for Bhavani Revanna order is reserved for May 31.
