Mohammad Ramzan Parray was home on leave at the time. Which meant he was unarmed
It appears the terrorists who killed Kashmiri BSF constable Mohammad Ramzan Parray had wanted to kidnap him.
But when he resisted, they killed him.
Parray's family had tried to stop the terrorists from entering his home, but the terrorists barged in.
The terrorists were looking for Parray's identity card, in order to identifyhim as a BSF soldier.
WION visited Parray's home on Thursday.

An eyewitness told WION there were four terrorists.
The eyewitness said Parray's family tried to stop the terrorists from both entering the house and from escaping after they had shot the BSF soldier.
The terrorists attacked Parray's family with knives in order to be able to make their escape.
Four of Parray's family members were injured, including a woman relative.
Parray was home on leave when he was killed. Which meant he was unarmed at thetime.
His killing has brought back memories of the kidnapping and murder of Army lieutenant Ummer Fayaz.
Like Parray, Fayaz was home on leave at the time.
He was kidnapped from a cousin's wedding.
And his bullet-riddled body found the following morning.
