The movie reunites Lohan and Curtis after the superhit 2003 movie. The original film revolves around mother and daughter duo Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan), who swap their bodies for a day. Nisha Ganatra will direct the upcoming sequel.

“As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice,” reads the synopsis.

Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rosalind Chao are returning in the sequel with the new additions; Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan also star in the film.

More about Lilo & Stitch.

The remake of the live-action movie comes 23 years after the original hit the theatres. The second part of the film will follow the story of Lilo and her adventure with an alien named Stitch.
