New safety measures have been put in place for Taylor Swift’s concert in London. This will be the first time that the American singerwill perform, after three concerts were cancelled in the Austrian capital city, Vienna.
To avert any security breach and ensure everything goes smoothly, fans have been advised to not congregate outside Wembley Stadium in London where the performance is scheduled to take place. She will be performing in London for five nights and she has lots planned for her British fans.
Wembley Stadium updated its new safety measures in place. Wembley Stadium stated “no one is allowed to stand outside any entrance or on the Olympic Steps at the front of the stadium,” while unticketed fans will be asked to “move on.” Camping also has been prohibited at the stadium.
Among other changes, ticketed concert-goers will be let into the stadium earlier than usual. There will be early entry for all five dates starting August 15.
The show will also feature performances by artists Raye, Paramore, and Suki Waterhouse whowill open the stage for Taylor Swift.
These changes have been put into place since three of Taylor’s concerts were cancelled owing to an alleged terrorist threat. Three men have been arrested in connection to the terror threat with one being said to have links with ISIS. According to reports, one 19-year-old arrested pledged his allegiance to ISIS and was living with his parents in the town of Ternitz, as well asa 17-year-old. Both were arrested after police found various chemicals and substances.
Meanwhile, London’s Metropolitan Police has confirmed that these attacks will not hamper the scheduled concerts in the city.
