Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have entered a new chapter of life: parenthood. The actress has given birth to a baby girl.
Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their first child, and took to social media to share the happy news.
The good news hadalready taken the internet by storm even before the couple made an official announcement.
As soon asthe couple verified the news, an old clip of Ranveer started doing rounds in which he wished to have a cute baby.

Singh is a doting husband and never shies away from showing his love publicly for his wife. During his appearance ona quiz show, the actor said that he wanted a cute baby just like his wife Deepika was in her childhood.

Speaking to the contestant about his name, Shauryaveer Singh, Ranveer said that he's shortlisting baby names as he asked for permission from the contestant to put his name on the list.
He said in Hindi, "Jaisa ki aap log jaante hai meri shaadi ho gayi hai aur ab 2-3 saal me bacche bhi honge. Bhaisaab, aapki bhabhi [Deepika] itni cute baby thi na. Main to roz uski baby photos dekhta hoon aur kehta hoon ek aisi de de mujhe toh bus meri life set ho jaye. (As you know I am married and may have kids in the next 2-3 years. Your sister-in-law was such a cute baby. I see her baby photos every day and tell her, 'Give me a baby like this and my life would be set.'')

He said further, ''Main shortlist kar raha hoon names. Aap mind nahi karenge to mai le lu aapse, Shauryaveer Singh?'' (I am shortlisting names. Would you mind if I take ‘Shauryaveer Singh’ from you)?”
Ranveer has talked about having a baby several times. During the promotion of his movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar, the actor said that he doesn't care about the gender of the baby.
When asked if he wants a baby boy or baby girl, the actor said, “When you go to the temple, they don’t ask you na if you want laadu or sheera. Whatever you get, you have it with whole reverence since it is prasad. So the same logic applies here,” he said.
Deepika and Ranveer, who got married in 2018, announced the pregnancy earlier this year.
