Mumbai, India

In a shocking turn of events, reports emerged in the early hours of Sunday that two unidentified bike-borne men had fired four rounds of bullets outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Mumbai residence, Galaxy Apartments. Now the latest in the case is that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi has allegedly taken responsibility for the incident in a social media post.

According to an India Today report, Anmol shared a social media post that read, "We want peace. If the only decision against oppression is war, then so be it. Salman Khan, we have only shown you a trailer so that you understand the magnitude of our strength and do not test it. This is the first and last warning. After this, shots will not be fired outside the house only. And we have dogs named after Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel, whom you consider to be Gods. Now, I don't have the habit of talking much."

Since the black buck killing case, which dates back to 1998, Bishnoi has issued several death threats to Salman and his family. Last year, Lawrence issued an open threat to Salman and asked him to issue a public apology for insulting his community by killing a blackbuck or face dire consequences.

Lawrence was quoted as saying, "There is anger in our society for Salman Khan. He humiliated my society. A case was filed against him but he did not apologise. If he does not tender an apology, be ready to face the consequences. I will not depend on anyone else."

Lawrence Bishnoi's gang is also suspected of having involvement in Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala's assassination. Anmol Bishnoi is currently absconding and was last spotted in Kenya in 2023. He reportedly escaped India with the help of a fake passport.

As a precaution, the security outside the actor's house has been tightened and he has been given a personal weapon licence and can carry a personal weapon for his safety.
